Asian Pitcher Plant - Nepenthes - Carnivorous - Exotic - 2" Pot

I ordered two, because I was scared that I'd loose one... they were in transit for 7 days during the hottest time of the year! I was expecting two dead plants...when I opened the box, all the pitchers were dry, and half the leaves were black. It did not look good. But I did not give up hope. I didn't want to repot them because I was scared they would just get more damaged. So they stayed in the original pot. I cut off all the dryed pitchers and trimmed the leafs back that were black. After about 2 weeks new leafs began to sprout...but would turn black and die off. This persisted for about one month. Every time a new leaf would sprout, it would turn black and die off. but I did not give up on then. Every day I mist them with distilled water and they are over a plate of water...not in the water, this is just to help increase the humidity. I mist them in the morning before work, when I get home from work and before bed. I've had them now for over 2 months. With all my effort put into them, they have finally given me green leafs...the pitchers are starting to show promis....also, another plant has sprouted from the underside of one of the main plants.. I am happy to say that they are doing fine. If you get these plants and they had a bad journey to your home, give them time. The pictures I posted were taken in November 17, they arrived at my house September 8. I wish I would have taken pictures when I first got them... I expect them to start growing a lot faster now that hey have recovered from a horrible transit to my home.

Received with two small pitchers . I transplanted right away. New soil. Started soaking the dirt from the bottom. And Both pitchers died. I tried a new method of spraying the leaves three times a day and it has grown in size and has one large pitcher. And three moreon the way. The large pitcher took about three and half weeks to get that big. This was my first nepenthes. Just ordered two other species today. This one is super easy to grow once you figure out what it needs.

It is a nice plant but they shipped it to me with a fungus and it had some leaves that had been cut off with siccors

It came with a bunch of healthy pitchers already and looks great!! The only thing to be aware of is that it’s pretty small, but otherwise seems healthy. $10 seems like a good price for such a unique plant that’s hard to get in many other places for a good price.

Apon opening the box the pitcher was barely hanging on, It had artificial scissor cuts in some of the perfectly healthy stems which caused it to wilt.Who knows how long it has sat in a warehouse.

The plants arrived in reasonable condition, considering that they had been without good light and air during shipping. Each had one medium size pitcher and 4-5 leaves with pitchers just starting to develop. After being repotted for about a week now, they are doing great. I had some concerns based on a few negative reviews, but I am pleased with the plants I received.

The pitcher plant arrived well packaged. The plant is small but healthy with many pitchers attached.

Followers care directions and it is dying already. It’s been a good two weeks though. Love that plant
