Heiwa Pouring Kettle w/Wooden Handle, 1.2 litre - Barista or Homebrew for The Perfect Pour Over Coffee with gooseneck spout (Beechwood lid and wooden handle)

I'm surprised with the MUCH good reviews of this kettle. I actually bought it based on these good reviews. But, it wasn't that good, at least for me. This is my first review to write, I wouldn't do a review unless I'm SO so in love with what I got or really disappointed -in this case the latter-. The kettle itself is fine, didn't have any problems with materials nor the issue with the led not going off so easy as mentioned in other comments, but the problem is and it's a MAJOR one to me is the pour of this kettle. It's far away from going smooth, it goes as a little streak for less than a second then all of a sudden it sort of gush out! I make pour over coffee and I'm very precise, this one is not a help at all, it's so hard to control it. As I said, for me I was so disappointed, if you need it to make tea or anything it might work for you.

I've had this kettle for maybe a year now and I love it. It looks great, it heats water up to around 215 degrees (I only use it to 205 for coffee), and I use it to water my plants with whatever is left over. I leave it out on display at all times as it fits the older look of my kitchen and is seriously a great piece for the price.

I use this several times a week. Only thing I'd hoped was different is that when heating on the stove, it doesn't whistle when at a boil which makes it a bit tough to know when your water is nearly ready. Watch out for steam burns when opening to check. I like this for what it is, but would buy something with a temp gauge next time.

We love this!!! It’s so cute and the thermometer seems accurate. We use it for pourover coffee and tea and are very happy with it. One thing though, the bamboo handle is a little burnt at the bottom. We have a gas stove and probably need to just turn the temperature down. We use it multiple times a day and it holds up well. This is much less expensive than other versions and the quality is great.

I love this little kettle. I use it for both coffee and tea and it looks so cute in my little kitchen. I was worried it was going to be damaged when it arrived because it was clanking around in the box but it's fine. I did have to screw in the wood knob on the lid and it's already split, but it came with an extra. Very happy with it.

Very cute and aesthetically pleasing look, but probably not the best thing to ship due to it’s fragile spout. It showed up with the spout snapped off. If you are looking for a pour over kettle and don’t want to risk it showing up broken i’d say buy one in person. Or do what I did. I ordered a coffee gator kettle. It comes inside a company box, inside of a shipping box. So there is more protection.

What a beautiful and great pouring kettle. How is this not a ‘zon five star fave. Perfect balance weight and asthmatic!!!

Build quality could be better, but so far its worked perfectly. Got discolored due to heat but its nothing to worry about. Ise some vintage or lemon juice and it cleans up. But doesnt effect anything other than appearance
