KOBE Range Hoods Kobe ISX2136SQB-2 Brillia 36-inch Island Range Hood, 3-Speed, 680 CFM, Fits Ceiling Height 8'-9.5, Stainless Steel

I was a little skeptical about buying this online without seeing it first but I’m so glad I bought it. It looks great with our kitchen remodel I like the different fan speeds and the lighting.

After a LOT of research into different island vent hoods, we went with this one and have been very happy with it. It has three speeds:- Quiet - This is quieter than any vent hood I've ever had to the point I don't notice it at all while cooking. But it is definitely still moving air and really reduces smells.- Low - This is as loud as 'low' on the old builder-grade vent hood we had, so definitely noticeable, but moves a LOT of air.- High - This is noticeably noisy but moves a TON of air. Like you feel a breeze if you stand between the hood and wherever the make-up air is coming from.Installers were impressed with how rock-solid the install felt and how easy it all came together. Said they'd never installed KOBE before but thought its quality was better than a lot of the bigger names they install all the time.My only wish is that it had controls on both sides so it could be turned off from the dining side of the island, but that's a very rare feature so not knocking a star off for it.

Love the looks of this unit and in low mode is very quiet. The LEDs produce a good lighting level but they are warm white which throws a yellow cast. Be advised that the installation instructions are bare bones and you need to be an experienced DIYer to put this in. You do need to install support joist framing above the ceiling. The instructions never tell you how to install the lower decorative housing and with 8' ceilings, it must be put pried on from the bottom just before the hood body. Iif you have 8 foot ceilings, you will have to cut about 10" off of the upper decorative housing. There is no way to make the electrical and duct connections without shortening the upper housing. This is substantial stainless steel so tin snips or a hack saw will not do it. Use a jig saw with a metal cutting blade.

Good Looks and minimal footprint. Was concerned going in but install and operation went well. Install directions were difficult for me to comprehend, but the remodeler had no issues. Fair price and prime shipping

It is hard to find an affordable good quality island range hood. We also wanted a good space under the hood, between the range and the ceiling, so we wanted an acceptable Cfm number, so 680 Cfm is acceptable.
