Not true borosilicate
I have had this bottle for less than a month and last night after I took it out of the freezer, I poured in room temperature water from my filter and it completely cracked the entire bottle. I took pictures of it (the picture shows the bottle with cracks throughout bottle with ice inside from water that frozen by being inside bottle). I left the bottle alone for about 15-20 minutes cause I didn't want to do deal with it and when I came back out, pieces had fallen off the bottle cause the ice inside had started to melt.Borosilicate glass is supposed to allow for up to 170 degree Celsius temperature change. No way my freezer at medium-low setting caused the bottle to go -150 to -160 degrees Celsius (room temperature being 15 degrees Celsius).I liked the bottle cause it was sleek and cool looking but the cap is two parts and sometimes after being in the freezer for a bit, the suction part would detach from the metal so I'd have to reattach it. Far from a deal breaker but not being able to withstand a 15 to 20 degree celsius temperature shock (or at least not being able to last for a full month) is definitely a deal breaker. Unfortunately I had bought a second bottle for my sister right before this happened cause I thought the bottle would last.

Cap got loos see the photol
Inside steal cap got loos and the water gets traped inside; mold groves inside and high health risk. Dont buy this product. See the photo. The first version was high quality the second-generation I have, is made in China and they have tried to cut cost and maid it cheaper. Lost Quality.

New bottles and new lids — 1000% awesome
This is a company that listens to its customers. While I previously purchased 18 of the “legacy” bottles back in the day and had very little trouble with them (other than some lids becoming de-threaded), clearly other customers have had a number of issues. The folks at Boroux listened! I just received a set of the “new and improved” bottles, and I have to say, I’m extremely impressed! The glass is heavier, the bottom is thicker and the lid is 100% better. I loved the look, feel and total impression of value so much — that I ordered 12 more bottles. (I do “Reboots” and like to make a ton of juice ahead, enough to keep me full of “liquid sunshine” for the better part of a week. Hence the need for great bottles that are safe, feel good in my hands and easy to clean.)

Got these for milkshakes and protein shakes and they are GREAT! We fill them up and take one from the fridge during the week. HOWEVER, the price deters me from buying replacements as glass inevitably breaks. We have a dozen and 4 broke accidentally. In pondering the replacement which is also likely to break, I thought I should break this cycle with a substitute. And I defaulted to the mason jars - 32 ounce jars with plastic lids allows for the protein shake and then some fall seeds on top tried and tested, less breakable and replaced without much wallet pain. The Boroux looks more elegant of course but needs to be replaceable at a better price than $13 a pop. For everyday use, one needs something hardy and less dear. My $13 x 4 worth opinion :)).

Cheap. Cap fills with water when dishwashed.
Cheap. Frustratingly stupid cap design. Disgustingly insanitary.Do not believe their marketing hype mumbo jumbo about quality, durability, or ease of ability to clean.I took the bottle out of the packaging, put the glass container on the bottom rack of the dishwasher, and put the cap on the top rack of the dishwasher. After coming out of the dishwasher, the cap is full water (yeah, there is hollow volume in the cap, because of course). When I shake the cap I can hear the water sloshing back-and-forth inside the cap. This leads to some important questions about the design. Why is the cap made of 3 different materials? Why are there so many nooks and crannies in the cap? Why is there an awkward puck/disc/cylinder volume on the *inside* of the cap? Why is this volume hollow? Why is the unnecessary volume not sealed? Why is this bottle claimed to be dishwashable?Seriously, the cap should just be one-piece solid plastic. It would probably be much cheaper to manufacture too. It's like they went out of their way to design the worst possible cap for a reusable water bottle. It's mind boggling.

Quality bottle for the price.
Looks and feels like a quality bottle. No visible flaws that I can see. I love the feel and taste of glass when it comes to refreshing beverages and this fits my needs to a tee. Since it is glass, you do have to baby it. It's definitely not the kind you just throw in a bag, but its good for everyday use as long as you take care of it. The only con i've found is that i wish the cap had more grip to unscrew it off the bottle. Normally, this is a non-issue, but if it gets wet and slippery, it can be a little difficult to get off. The mouth is nice and wide which means it's super easy to pour into and plenty fast to drink out of. I also like that it doesn't take much to twist off the cap. Only about 1/4" of turn will loosen the seal and less than a full rotation to twist it all the way off which makes for convenient on and off drinking. For me one of the biggest pluses is that it fits neatly inside of a typical can cooler (I use a Thermos vacuum insulated can cooler). Even though the bottle is almost twice as tall as the can cooler itself, even at 50% coverage, it is effective enough to keep liquids cool for 2-3 hours which is great. The packaging is unexpectedly nice as well.

Like the glass but..
Disappointed. I purchased this for ice water - I thought it would be more sanitary then one of those "sippy" cups with those built in plastic straws. I love the fact that it is glass so I don't have to worry about any chemicals seeping through like plastic. The problem is that I cannot drink from it without spilling it because the ice blocks the mouth of the jar! If I use it then the liquid would need to be cold so that I don't have to use ice.
