Great product
Unboxed it, plugged it in, and it worked without a problem. I needed this because I was generating time-lapsed photosets over 5 or 6 charges worth of time. I needed an AC power source, and this perfectly fits the bill, at a great price. Remember to close the door on the battery cover (there is a slot for the wire) or your camera will not think that there is a power source in place.

Very cheaply made but functional
Very cheaply made but functional. Powers my G10 just fine. I've used cheap generic Chinese power supplies like this before (you can tell how cheap it is partly by how light it is; it feels practically empty), and they generally last a few years of heavy use before dying out, which is a worse lifetime than most OEM power adapters, but you can buy them at 20% of the price. Seeing as how I got my G10 for less than $100, paying over $50 for an OEM power supply seemed pretty excessive.

works, but not 100% reliable
I have yet to do a systematic trial of the causes, but it would appear that something is a tad loose and would occasionally cause a loss of power. luckily it only happened twice during the night I was using it to run a photo booth with my G10.. but hopefully I can nail down the connection that was not 100% secure and figure out a fix. build quality of the device over all is acceptable given the very affordable price.

Works as advertised at a great price
I bought this for my Canon Powershot G11. It was less than half of the cost of a Canon branded item that does the same thing. It came with no (like 0) instructions, but it was easy to figure out. You take out your battery. There is a thing about the same size as the battery with a single hole in it. Plug in the jack into the battery-looking device and put it in where you took out the battery. There is even a slot in the camera (thanks Canon!) where the cord can lay and the cover will snap back. The cord comes in two pieces: The AC side plugs into the large rectangular box, from which the smaller cord comes out of an into the battery-sized device.Once assembled and inserted, plug it in and turn on your camera. You have to change the settings so that the camera doesn't shut down after a couple of minutes if you want to keep it on. I also purchased a NEEWER FSK wireless timer remote (which looks like it attaches to the flash shoe and from there into the side of the G11 -- don't know cause it hasn't arrived yet) so that I can set up the camera around a bird feeder to take closeup pictures of the birds. We will see how this turns out!

Works well
Works well to hold and recharge a Blackberry Q10. I sit it in overnight in night mode, the battery charges and clock displays dimly and quietly. Not exciting, just functional.

Same item half the price!
After my initial shock of finding out that this item was not included with my camera I had to find one at a good price. Canon sells it at the unreal price of $70.That is highway robbery, they make a camera, tell you need this power adapter when downloading pictures and then charge $70? Thank God for Amazon.com, at less then half the price of the Canon rip-off I got just what I needed! It works great and I have had no problems with it! Thanks Amazon, keep up the great work!

Works great with Canon G10
I needed an adapter to turn my old G10 into a webcam. This adapter works great! Fit is good and I like the fact that it has a brick with an extension cord versus being a wall-wart. Makes it a lot easier to use in a packed power strip situation.
