Hunters Specialties Ammo Pouch

Using this is much easier than trying to pack an entire box of ammo. The less I pack in during the hunt the easier it is when you are dragging your kill out of the woods.

I’ve bought many types of these. This by far is the best.

Measures 4 3/8" vertical; 5" horizontal; 12 3/8" opened. Two nylon snap-shut belt loops lined with male velcro extend upward to form a non-velcro lined loop; 3/4" elastic retention strap with plastic buckle. Material is a densely woven synthetic, probably polyester, and is (thankfully) not lined with foam. I consider this a plus, as it reduces bulk, and the two layers of fabric offer good protection of the cartridges. In my experience the elastic cartirdge loops will lose their resiliancy if cartridges are stored in them, so be sure to remove them after the season. (I wish this company made a similar pouch for revolver cartridges.)

I just received this product and was kinda excited about it. I loaded it up with 30-30 shells and then went to find a place to attach it in my pack with the Molle and the stitching came apart on one of the straps. Most people would probly return this or give it 1 star. I see it as 3 because it still holds shells and I can put it in a pocket or pack without them rattling around. Not a total loss, but what do you expect for $7.00.

I use it for 410 rounds and 45LR. I can fit two 45 longcoats in one slot if I put the flat sides together. They stay in there, it has a good grip. It comes with two straps on the back to attach to your belt.

This is a great value for the money. The pouch holds 10 rds of .270 Win securely and has 4 additional loops for larger caliber magnum rds. I like the fact that it has two snap off belt loops for easy removal from your belt or easy attachment to your rifle sling. I also has a single external carrier loop at the top. For the money, it is a great value.

I’m amazed there isn’t more shell holders like this on the market. Thankfully this one is priced well and does everything it needs to. Holds my 30-06 shells securely and silently. Whether in a backpack pocket or on your belt, this shell holder is a win.
