Works nicely, but scent and consistency take some getting used to
Seems to be working very nicely so far. The first few days I wasn't entirely sure, but after about a week, my skin has remained relatively clear when using twice a day. My esthetician recommended a lactic acid cleanser to help my combination skin. Previous cleansers with Salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide were simply too harsh. The only complaints I have are that the smell isn't exactly my favorite and the consistency feels strange. Not sure how to describe either of those things. It's not bad, simply like nothing I've experienced before. Not sure if it has anything to do with perhaps how long it's been in a bottle or if it's just the formula.

Now My Favorite Cleanser, Lactic Acid Feels Amazing
Ok, so months ago I purchased RETIN, BENZ, and SALIC from Skin by Pom and really came to love their products (even though BENZ is a little too much for me and I manage to bleach everything I touch... so I won't get that one again; my skin seems to like salicylic acid the best). I was worried about trying CLNS based on some of the negative reviews, but I actually LOVE this cleanser and will continue to purchase it! Sometimes I like to make yogurt masks using Greek yogurt because they leave my skin really smooth and refreshed. Because this cleanser has lactic acid in it as well, I feel it has a similar effect. I was using LUSH Fresh Farmacy, which I still like in general because it is gentle, but it was not strong enough for me to get a deep clean or to remove traces of makeup. CLNS is strong enough to do just that (note: I wear minimal makeup) yet is gentle enough to not irritate my skin. I like the way it looks, the way it lathers, the way it smells. Most of all, I like that it makes my skin feel good, and although I think diet is #1 for achieving clear skin, I am definitely now a devotee of Skin by Pom products (and this is coming from someone who, for years, did not use any cleansers or other anti-acne products because of becoming disillusioned by the failures of dermatologist-prescribed topicals and pills).

I think this would be a good product for someone who wants a less harsh facial ...
I purchased this a few days ago along with the Peter Thomas Ross acne kit:http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003YOPS9W/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1While waiting for the acne kit to arrive I started using the CLNS cleanser. While it does make my skin feel fresh/smooth it did not help with the over all tone and evenness of my skin. I have always had issues with redness and acne even now into my twenties. I think this would be a good product for someone who wants a less harsh facial wash for moisture and smooth skin and not for bad acne, redness, blemishes, etc. But I will continue to use it along with other acne products to help moisturize.I've attached a few pictures; days 1-3 are using this product only and day 4 are the results with the acne kit, I posted above, in only 24 hours.

Very Different Cleanser
A little background first- I have battled acne since I was 14. I am now 54. I have oily acne-prone skin with pores that get congested with whiteheads and blackheads. I have tried so many cleansers over the years, most of them have just been variations on the same theme- salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. This cleanser is unlike any I have tried before. It is gentle with an earthy smell and contains lactic acid which my skin has really responded to. My oil is under control, my skin tone is even (not red and blotchy) and the blackheads and whiteheads are almost all gone. My skin is soft and healthy. At first I used the Benz product to get things under control, but now I have added the Night Retinol and sometimes alternate with the Salic. I have recently added a 10% niacinamide serum under the Night or the Salic and keep the Benz on hand in case I get a pimple which is so rare now I can’t believe it.

Bummer..Didn't work for me..
I had high hopes for this cleanser (which was already my first mistake). A lactic acid cleanser was recommended to me after having my first facial. This is a soft cleanser, it's green in color so it's not the easiest to look at and it doesn't smell all that great but it's bearable. The reason for a low rating - I wasn't seeing results. I used this once/twice a day, with/without my clarisonic brush...and nothing. The 3 stars I provided go towards customer service. The owner contacted me long before this review asking how I liked the product (typical general email chain) and I did express my concerns. He did end up refunding my money (which I was surprised) after having a bit of a discussion regarding how I was using the product and providing additional advice.

Amazing if you Struggle with Adult Acne
Skin Type: Oily, combinationAge: 28Years with Acne: INFINITYType of Acne: Topical, not cysticI'll probably continue using this face wash for all eternity, but here is some follow up info.In general, I've been trying to err towards more natural and gentle face products, but ones that actually work! This one is definitely in that category. I think the main reason it's helped my acne is that, unlike my usual benzoyl peroxide face wash, it's PH balanced and gentle while still getting my skin clean. Some people complain about the scent, but I enjoy its earthiness. For someone with sensitive but oily skin, it's really great. I wash it into my skin using the ToiletTree face scrubber (which I also bought on Amazon and is an excellent product for the price) and follow it with some BENZD Benzoyl Peroxide & Tea Tree Oil Lotion (also bought on Amazon) and the combo of these items has worked wonders for my skin.PS- I also recently discovered that RED ROOBIOS tea is amazing for people who struggle with skin conditions and I truly believe drinking a cup or two of that a day has also significantly helped my skin to clear up. Just food for thought!

It's neither good, nor bad
Eh... that's really all I have to say. It didn't make any positive difference in terms of my skin issues and textures but it didn't break me out or cause any problems. The only con is that it takes a while to lather and comes out rather liquidy. Also smells and feels a bit like rubbing lemon juice on your face. Overall, would not repurchase.

Very helpful for face and body acne
This cleanser keeps my skin from overreacting, which it will often do hormonally. It especially helps keep my back clear. I would not go without this cleanser again! (bought it from the company when Amazon was out of stock!)

Super into it
SUPER into this face wash. I've only been using it for about 2 weeks but there's already a clear improvement in my skin. Using lactic acid is amazing (I've also recently gotten into doing a lactic acid chemical peel once a week), and having it in this face wash has been clearing up my acne really well. I have super sensitive acne-prone skin, but this wash doesn't dry me out and has been helping to reduce redness in addition to keeping my cystic acne at bay. Also highly recommend using the Mask from Pom... or realistically any product from Pom or Create Cosmetics (same founder). I have to exfoliate with a different face wash from time to time, but usually it's just CLNS twice a day.

Pretty good
Having only used it for a week and it seems to be doing a good job. Doesn't dry skin and reduces redness a lil bit. One thing I did wish is if it lathers more, probably does its job but prefer something that lathers more. Otherwise, good product. Worth the price
