I purchased this thinking that it would work better and smell less from sweat than the rubber band that comes with the Fitbit. I like the look made the watch more formal looking but gave the same casual good look whether I was just in shorts or jeans. I have worn the watch nearly 24 hours a day since receiving it and I like the feel and the ease using it. I wish there was a brushed nickel or steel that matched the facing of the watch to switch back and forth. It can fit to your exact wrist, so you can make it as tight or lose as you want it. To me the product is a 5, but there are possibly reasons others might not like it.1. The band may be small on a larger wrist/hand than my own (average adult large). There is plenty of extra band for nearly every wrist size, except the extreme largest. However, I do not need to unthread the watch from the clasp that attaches it to the watch. I think others with bigger hands/wrists who would have to unthread and rethread the end each time, would think that it might be difficult to use. That might only amount to twice a week for some, but I take mine off when I shower daily.2. I have not swam with it to determine if the chemicals in pools will deteriorate or alter the appearance. I got it thinking that when I do swim, it will be fine and also will not carry the smell that can be associated with the rubber/cloth bands. The rubber band sort of discolored from swimming this summer.3. It adds a little more weight to the watch as a whole and some may find that undesirable.
