KYBERS Standard Series Shien RGB 11 Colors LED Changeable Metal Aluminum Hilt Light Saber with 5 Sound Fonts

The number of colors, sound fonts, LED brightness, volume levels, FOC feature and build quality of this light saber are all impressive to me. This is only my second “dueling” (expensive) saber, and everything about this saber is nicer than the first one I bought.I bought this saber mostly because it was advertised with a 1” blade. I am signing up for a light saber dueling class, and most of the people involved are using expensive custom sabers with 36” or longer blades. I ordered a 36” Ultra Sabers Ultra Edge blade, planning to swap out the 30” blade with a 36” blade so I would be able to use this for my class. When I got the Ultra Sabers blade, it did not fit at all into this hilt. I got out my digital calipers. The blade on this saber appears to have an OD of 25-25.2mm. One inch is 25.4mm. So I got some skateboard grip tape, wrapped it around a 22mm (7/8”) piece of tubing, and started sanding away. After several hours of sanding, I still have not removed enough aluminum to get the 25.4mm blade to fit yet.Now for my second problem: I really wish they had used a standard USB charging cable (micro USB, USB-C, etc.) for the charging port/ cable. I had a Bose Bluetooth speaker on the same table that I was charging my saber on. The Bose speaker uses the same size charging jack as the saber, except the power supply is 12 volts. I got the speaker charge cable tangled up with the saber charge cable, and I accidentally plugged the 12 volt cable into the saber. I realized my mistake immediately and I unplugged it. But my saber now will not charge or turn on. I have sent a message to the seller to see if I can send my saber back and get it repaired. I’m anxiously awaiting their response, and I hope they can do anything to repair the damage I caused so I don’t have to buy an entire new saber. When I do get it fixed or get a new saber, I am going to mark the USB charging cable with a piece of tape or paint the charging tip a bright color so I never make that grave mistake again. I just got this order of the Kybers Standard-(Shien version)-i was excited to get the order but when i opened the package the actual box of the lightsaber is damage and the actual hilt of the lightsaber in the chrome part there was alot of scratches at first i thought it was a glue residue from the plastic wrap but i cleaned the hilt and the scratches doesn't go away. The light and sound of the saber was great for the price but when i started playing or testing the saber like going thru all the colors and sounds then i tried to charge the battery i felt that the actual hilt where the battery is located is very hot/warm to touch and i only had the charger connected about 15mins not even and hour, so i will try again later today and try the lightsaber again and if still giving me the same issue when charging i would have to return it.**UPDATE-02/03/20 -so this is the update for my review: After almost 1 month of using/playing with the lightsaber now I’m getting use of the 1-button controls, I’m also Liking the clash lightning effects of the saber and sound effects are all accounted for. I have NOT charge the saber as of the last time i connected to the charger and the battery is holding the charge very well, i normally use it once a day after work just to do some Lite Post Sparing (hitting the post). I also tried to give it a weathered look/effect and use a bandage wrap for the handle section. This LightSaber is growing on me. I’m very HAPPY that I got this as my 1st dueling lightsaber. I can’t wait to get my next Saber.

Don't be afraid to customize it a little bit to make it even better. Buy an extra blade for dueling and maybe do a few of the things I talked about. The hilts may not be as high quality as other custom saber manufacturers but the features are awesome.

The media could not be loaded.  Disclaimer: the leather wrapping and wheels are products that I added to enhance my own experience, but the lightsabers and the connector are genuine.These lightsabers are really amazing for their price and quality compared to a lot of the sabers on the market. Lots of colors and effects, you can definitely customize yours however you want. Customer service was great, they told me when they got new parts for the inside boards when they got them in stock and got them to me immediately!I dualed with these blades and for hard hits, they do dent, but so does anything. Medium dueling limit as long as everything is screwed down. The connector itself gets stuck if twisted too much, so you should get something to tighten the threads for the pommel or something to loosen the threads for the connector depending on your choice of combat.Overall, really great sabers and really good customer service!
