Classic Star Wars, Marvel style
Another hugely entertaining collection of classic Marvel Star Wars, including the noted Shira Brie storyline, about a rebel pilot with her sights on Luke Skywalker; an adventure on Bespin - which the Empire now control, much to Lando's chargrin; and the search for Han Solo, which involves rumbles with various bounty hunters. Han himself, despite being frozen in carbonite, does appear in a couple of flashback stories - but Boba Fett doesn't, as the book's cover image is actually his fellow Mandalorian Fenn Shysa, who speaks with a stereotypical Irish accent straight out of Father Ted. The stories here sometimes offer differing events from the movies, e.g. It's explained Fett himself fought during the Clone Wars, which in the movies he was too young to do.There have been a lot of Star Wars comic books over the 42 years since A New Hope, but the classic Marvel series captures the breathless adventure of the movies the best.
