These are fantastic! My two cockatiels love sitting on this and chewing the end of it. I bought the medium size for my cockatiels. (which are a smaller sized bird from Australia that some might confuse with the larger cockatoo.)This is a quality, attractive perch. Can be used virtually anywhere in the cage and screws down snug. You need 3 types of perches for your birds, and you want to pitch the thin dowel type perches with sand paper wraps and use a natural branch type perch, a natural ground seashell perch such as this, to provide calcium as they chew & to file claws and beaks, and a soft rope type perch for a soft place to rest their feet. I had bought a small cuttlebone perch for my 2 parakeets last year and they LOVED it. They used it way more than the regular cuttlebone and it quickly became so small they couldn't sit on it side by side. They kept fighting over it. I ordered this product as a replacement and it arrived exactly as described, but they don't like it. They'll sit on it, but they rarely rub their beaks on it. I bought the S/M size but maybe it's just too large for parakeets? Or they don't like the smell/flavor? Who knows.

Works great for my GCC. He likes to clean his beak on it. Have to see if it helps keep his nails filed more. It's the perfect size for his feet, wish they made it a little longer.

A little disappointed at the colors we were sent, and that one of these was cracked all the way through. I expected the same colors in the picture, not pastel green and purple, and cleaning them made them even uglier. That said, my bird (Kiwi the Destroyer) uses these every day, and they serve their function.

This porch is good quality, but for some reasons my conure doesn't like it. It is because I give 4 stars.

My little bird went right for this perch and he loves it.His new cage was empty and needed a few more perches. We bought several, each a different type. This one is his favorite perch.He enjoys chewing on the end of it. I will purchase this one again when I need a new perch.UPDATE: I purchased a second one and it came in blue. My bird will not go near it and hisses if you bring it close to her. She will not go near her cage if we install it in the cage. The Item also is very much different than the first one I ordered. Also this one did not have all the hardware to install it. I had only one washer and it was flimsy and very cheap. Felt like I got a different product. My bird will have to do without now.

Bought for someone and the parrot seems to love it - will buy again

I was worried about my parakeet's nails getting too long. And, since he would not allow me to touch him so I could clip them, nail trimming was not an option. About two weeks after my Mickey started standing on these perches, I noticed that his nails have been filed down to the correct length. I'm happy now.
