Due to the design of the independent suspension of the truck, when you extend the strut by 1.75 inch the angle of the strut becomes steeper allowing the truck to experience approximately 3 inches of lift. It is the combination of extending the strut and the change in angle that gives the 3 inches of lift. Remember that the installation is not complete until you have had the truck aligned, this is when you will see the true 3-inch lift that you are expecting. Hellbent Steel Strikes Again
This is an awesome product! Great quality, would of given it more stars if I could of. This isn't the first time I've used hellbent steel, the existing spacer that was on there when removed looked like I just took it out of the box! No signs of wear and the powder coating was still looking sharp. [ this is NOT I repeat NOT a 3" spacer] if I remember correctly it measures a 1 1/2 spacer size. But with the angles of the truck and joints it makes it a true 3" lift. Very pleased

Low to no clearance on struts
As other reviews have stated, they do go in without having to change anything on the front end. What other reviews havent said is that when installed it changes the angle on the upper A frame so much that when the truck is on the ground you cant put your finger between the A frame and the strut spring allowing next to no travel on suspension without those parts rubbing on each other. I took them back out and will be returning them. This was on a 08 F-150, 4x4, all stock front end.

Easy to install fit perfectly on my 2007 f150 4x4. Did not need to lift back of truck it leveled out nicely. Upper control arm do NOT hit plenty of clearance.

Perfect Fit/On Time Shipping
I put this kit on a 2004 F150 4WD truck with no problems. One quick tip. You will be installing the strut rotated 180 degrees from where it was to start with for the top bolts to line up.
