The fit and finish of this little box are a bit rough, but in a way that is more charming than cheap. It looks and feels handmade and I like it. I did not care for the clasp, but it was easy to remove. There may be products with better workmanship, but I like the rough look and feel of this box. The interior dimensions are approximately 4.8" length by 2.8" width by 1.7" depth (including the little bit of clearance space inside of the lid).

We used this for a cat urn, and we're happy with it. I took one star off for the inconvenient packaging and noxious varnish fumes. If you are planning to give this box as a gift, I suggest you air it out and toss the box it comes in.Some reviewers mentioned a cute elephant keychain, but ours contained a remarkably ugly pair of earrings.

This product is receiving a low score ONLY because the dimensions are incorrect. The item I received is actually MUCH bigger, 8" by 5" by 2.5". I bought this item specifically to house a tarot deck, and am disappointed that it is too big for his task as it would be impractical to carry around. i am not returning it because it would be half the cost of the original item to ship it back for my refund and I can use it for other items. the box is pretty, the lid closes roughly, and the wood feels sticky, like the stain isn't 100% cured out. I also wish the cloth lining was all the way around, and not just the top and bottom. Cut box, good for the price, but disappointed in the incorrect dimension as now i have to shop around again.

I really liked the looks of this little box. Looks homemade and very sturdy. The only thing I did not like was it didn't close without pushing it down. It appears to be a little out of alignment. A little shaving of the wood on the corner helped.

I purchased this box for a friend's birthday. I was a bit skeptical at first due to the low price, but when I opened the package I was truly impressed. It is a beautiful box, well carved. Velvet inside to keep small items safe from scratching. It is not a perfect box, a little off square, but not that noticeable. I usually find some jewelry to put inside. It does make a very nice gift. I am pleased with this purchase.
