Quick & easy, value for money
This was the cheapest test available on Amazon for HSV-1 & HSV-2, similar test kits were sold by private professionals at triple price or higher. Finger pricking was reasonable to obtain 2 drops of blood mixed with one drop of buffer fluid in the test well. Single-use pipettes were provided to transfer the blood sample into the test well. Results showed in about 10 minutes. I don't have background to compare with other products, but I'd say it is fairly accurate and easy to use in the comfort and privacy of your home.

Terrible instructions and contents not as pictured. Didn't work!
The instructions with this were terrible and not particular helpful. The one time lancet for drawing blood on the HSV1 was defected and wouldn't work. Had to resort to using the lancet in HSV2 on a finger tip, but that barely drew enough blood for just one test. The lancet I got was not the blue and pink one as pictured, I got a small yellow one, and in my opinion was useless for the task at hand (no pun intended). After a lot of squeezing of my finger, I managed to get two drops of blood, but after 15mins the test didn't record any result. Total waste of time, blood and money. Don't waste yours on this.Due to the nature of this product, I can hardly return for a refund so i'm feeling totally ripped off by this.
