Size:Surface Pro 6 / Pro 2017 / Pro 4  |  Color:with Dual VESA stand and OEM electronics How it works: The MS OEM Surface Dock electronics (sold separately) clips into place. Then the Vertical Dock is fastened to an ordinary VESA arm monitor mount with 4 included M4 screws. When the Surface Pro is gently dropped into the Vertical Dock, it meets up with the magnetically aligned MS Surface Connector providing connectivity to 2 monitors (mini-DisplayPort), 4 USB 3.0 ports, 3.5mm audio, Ethernet, and power. What's in the box: - Laser-cut VESA mounting plate in black acrylic - Industrial 3D-printed parts in black PLA (0.2mm layer height) - Premium fasteners What you need to use the product: - MS OEM brick-shaped Surface Dock electronics - VESA monitor arm/mount (100mm x 100mm) - Desktop keyboard/mouse - 21.5" 1920x1080 or 25" 2560x1080 monitors recommended (although any size will work) - Philips (+) screwdriver for installation - minor assembly required Notes: - 3D-printed products tend to have a ridged surface finish due to the 3D-printing process. This finish may differ from one area of the part to the next. - As with any plastic product, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or heat should be avoided as this will discolor and warp the plastic. The PLA material used in the product should not, for example, be left in a hot parked vehicle. For indoor use only. - We believe in open-source; our designs are checked into GitHub so individuals can build their own docks from scratch. #VerticalSurfaceDocks

Works great!
Works great! I have it mounted to a vivo wall mounted dual monitor mount alongside just a single other monitor. It comes with minimal instructions and packaging, but the online videos helped me understand what's required to mount it. It's generally a solid piece of kit once mounted though I do hold some concerns over whether the lock mechanism will hold as it's founded on a thin plastic hinge and a couple of rubber bands. However I'm more than satisfied!

Components appear to be 3D printed (source material can be downloaded from manufacturers site) wish there was more room for my case but the smart keyboard cover fits fine
This is an amazingly simple but effective mount. Components appear to be 3D printed (source material can be downloaded from manufacturers site) wish there was more room for my case but the smart keyboard cover fits fine.

The way Microsoft *should* have designed the dock
A very well designed augmentation for the standard Microsoft dock that allows for drop in docking and brings the Surface up to a usable height.I liked it so much, I purchased a second, now I can easily move between my home, field and office using the same Surface hardware.

Great and innovative idea
Great and innovative idea. A little assembly required, but it's very easy. Includes items needed (e.g. screws, optional rubber band) and even an extra bracket for horizontal/landscape position. Very satisfied and looking forward to more ideas like this.

Good build and useful, but one drawback
I like it a lot. It's solid and useful, and I love how it fits the docking station perfectly. The one drawback is the Display port on the side of the Surface is effectively blocked. I have an Ultrawide monitor with a very high resolution (3440x1440). The Microsoft dock doesn't support such a high resolution, so I always plugged my display port cable into the jack on the side of Surface. This docking station effectively blocks that port (unless I can find a right-angle mini-display port cable) with the Microsoft dock underneath so that I can't use it that way anymore.

Awesome Surface Pro accessory.
I got this for my wife's Surface Pro 4, paired with a Dell 23" monitor, mounted on a double VESA desktop stand. It has worked very well for her as she moves between desk work and portable work a lot. Being able to just drop the Surface into the dock, and then take it out without having to plug / unplug / etc. is great.
