Overall this is a great coffee book. However, I was expecting more pictures and more nudity.I usually don't buy coffee table books, but I was so intrigued by this one as it showed homoerotic content from a time and place that you would not expect to find any of that.I am a big fan of The 40s and 50s male aesthetic (haircuts, clothes, body shape, etc) and this book definitely has that minus the clothes of course haha.I enjoyed it. I think you will too.

This book was a piece of crap in all respects. Firstly, it alternates between 3 languages - nowhere in the product description does it mention this. I read one language only so two thirds of the script will forever be unknown to me. The product quality is poor - cheap and coarse paper quality - photo image reproduction is terrible - photos are small and grainy just seem to be thrown together in an effort to show a little bare butt and get this out to press. Compared to other compilations such as the "At Ease" series by Evan Bachner that draws from the National Archives of was photos this book "My Buddy" is like a collection of old moldy photos found in a shoebox somewhere and very poorly presented, reproduced and narrated. This non-opus item is surely on its way to the thrift shop donation binDon't bother with this one - it neither illuminates or titillates.
