The Grand Museum of Art Board Game, TIADMUSEUMARTENG

Absolutely LOVE this game! It is officially now the favorite game of everyone in our household. It is great because people with lots of art history knowledge can play on equal footing with people with little to no art knowledge. I also love that the game play feels new and exciting and not like just another version of the same old board game. The little statues as pieces are also very neat although some of the taller ones are easy to knock over. I am absolutely in love with this game. If you are considering it, just get it! You’ll be glad you did.

I got this game for Christmas. I have a know quite a bit about art but my family doesn’t. I played with my 14 yr old daughter, computer nerd husband, and 70-something mother. We all had a blast. The game is similar to monopoly in that you acquire assets and want to finish with the best & most stuff. Great way to learn to identify art and a bit of trivia! This game will get a lot of play time in our household. Already hoping for expansions in the future — perhaps museum or art movement specific.

This game is a gem. So creative and a fun way to incorporate art into a board game. The figures for the game are so fun. I laughed as I opened it and lifted each one out. You feel like you are holding a miniature from an art museum! If you enjoy art and/or board games check out this game!

This has been a huge hit in our house. Great design. Fun game play. Learn a new bit of trivia each time. I hope they will release expansion cards and more trivia.

This is such a fun board game! Although it has some questions on art, you don’t have to have knowledge to play. It involves more strategy about collecting, “stealing” & trading works of art! I have bought this for other friends as it was fun! I have played w/ teens, but could be good for younger. A real blast!

If you are at all intrigued by museum culture and an art lover to boot this game makes a lovely pastime, a great party activity and a thoughtful gift. You will learn (or be able to employ your knowledge of) fine art, fundraising and the torment of budgeting. Highly recommended and a best seller in museum gift shops.

I bought this as a gift for my daughter who has studied art for many years. She knew all the answers, of course, but this is also a board game and you use a die to move around, and good and bad cards, so there is that randomness. For someone who knows relatively little about great works of art, I had fun learning.

This is a really fun adult game. You do use strategy to determine what pieces to curate and when to spend your money to win, but it is also cool to learn about some very famous works. Highly recommend!
