These have the seal of approval from our 14 year old and 2 year old pups. They can now go up and down with relative eases and without fear of falling. Did I also mention that these look great! We didn’t need any additional adhesion but to be fair we did trim them to fit into the stair so there really isn’t much wiggle room to begin with. For the stairs where we didn’t need to trim, they seem to stick pretty well and don’t move around.These seem pretty durable and thick. I didn’t really need to do too much. They don’t seem to track a lot of dirt but I imagine pulling them off and shaking them outside would do the trick.Overall we are very, very happy with this purchase.

While these aren't the most attractive material, the pictures are pretty close to the actual product and they look fine in our home. The rubber backing holds just fine on our hardwood stairs. The material is acceptably soft on bare feet. They aren't super cushiony but neither are they rough and thin commercial material. Installation involved a quick wipe down of the step and placing the mat. They came flat in the box and no other prep was required. They are easy to reposition (no adhesive). Would buy again.

These worked well for my family and particularly for our dog who had slipped down the stairs a few times before we had these. The anti-slip is pretty good. With traffic they may tend to shift/move around a bit which aesthically May be an issue for some but can be solved with double sided tape. Last, these also help dampen stair noise a bit.

I did not use tape to hold them in place (so that I can remove them periodically to clean) so they do move around a little bit but when you put pressure on them (step on them) the rubber on the base is very effective in "gripping" and not slipping.

I am a review kind of person...ill read hundreds before I buy. This one seemed to get good reviews so I bought them. I have a high ranch..and I wanted something to cover my steps (the bottom half leading to lower level was carpeted and they need to be refinished in the future). This pads are great !!!! pull them out of box, they have a rubber backing...and I feel confident (im 55) walking up and down all day everyday. My sons and husband love them, they look fantastic, and I could not be happier. They are worth the money !! I worried so much about stepping on them if I would fall, if my husband (he's 63). would fall, but no worries !!! if I knew how to put a picture on here I would, but I don't know how. (sorry)

These are attractive and I thought they would work well. Then I placed them on my inside stairs and they slid all over. They did not stick at all so I used some two-sided tape to hold them down. The glue on the tape melted for some reason and the carpet pieces would not hold. I'll try stapling them onto the vinyl wood floor and see if they will stay that way. They do not work as advertised.

I needed treads for my basement stairway so I can take my dog out from the basement door during winter. Got these after reading the reviews which seemed OK. Packaged well, the treads are decent quality with a good rubber backing. They should wear well. I used double sided carpet tape to ensure the treads would not slip (Sugarman Creations.) I found taping the treads upside down first and then aligning them on the steps one by one was the easiest and quickest way to install them . So far, I would definitely recommend the treads and tape.

I was a little worried about these because of the reviews that said they slipped all around on the stairs, I did not find that to be true. I ripped out grotesque carpeting on 2 staircases in a new house we bought. Since the runners will take a while to be made, I got these for the interim. Exceeded my expectations! I placed the pads close to where the tread meets the riser on step—-thinking that placing them there might reduce any possible slipping. The pads have not moved one iota. I have small dogs and didn’t want them slipping on te bare wood. The dogs are flying up and down the steps! They worked for me. Not sure why they didn’t work for some customers. I recommend them.Just a note about the packaging— each set was packed in in a very flimsy cardboard box. The boxes were unbelievably dilapidated! They had more clear tape on them than cardboard. But at least all of the tape kept each set in tact and protected. Just hard to open the box up because I didn’t want to tear the pads with my razor knife.

They are the perfect size. Look better in person than in the pictures. They don't really stick so I put the stuff we put in the cupboards to keep dishes sliding. I totally forget the name of it. Get it at the dollar stores. If you have wild animals running up and down the stairs they will still adjust a bit but easy to reposition and much more secure for those of us not running up and down the stairs.Easy to clean.

Pretty good for the price. Adhesion depends on the carpet tape you buy but we used the 3M mesh style carpet tape and works pretty well. My senior dog is learning to go up the stairs now.

Solid product - but a bit slippery on the floor.

We got those so our new dog would not slip on our wooden stairs. When you're standing on them, they won't move in any way. Otherwise, my lightweight 5 years old son makes en move a little when he's going down the stairs. I'm hoping the dog will be heavy enough so the rubber grips. Could be a little more adhesive.

These are cheap but serve a purpose, got them to help senior dog go up and down the stairs. They do move a little bit. These are high maintenance, attract dirt and are also not easy to clean
