While I would never assume that bigger is better, in this case that is exactly what is going on.Bigger rubber handle, heavier gauge wire, stiffer fan, more sound, greater possibilities.If you want to hear some of what you can achieve with these brushes,listen to any of Jeff's wonderful Trio recordings and you will understand right away.

If you got here, you know what the best is. The Jeff Hamilton is simply the best out there for having the perfect sound with the best quality available. If it's good for Metallica, why not for you?

As Jeff Hamilton says, the wires are heavier and stiffer, allowing technique more like one would use for a stick. Great rebound and if you're playing with amplified instruments, can really cut through the mix. Forget the nylon bristle brushes. These do it all.

brushes are sparse and thin. they are going not going to last. not the heavy feel as advertised. don't buy these.

I got them in the mail today and played a show tonight with them...they are great and as good as others describe...heavy enough to compete with sticks but don't have the heavy tone. I love the heavier gauge wires...the response is very stick like...love them

Wonderful quality - great sound and feel

I love to play with these heavy duty brushes; I'm used to bending the wire handles on my brushes down to set the wire density - one try and the handle snapped off making them practically unusable. enjoy playing with the brushes - don't try bending the handles!

These brushes have a nice feel I play big band jazz, and these brushes give a bigger sound. You can play down with a lighter touch. Well worth the money.
