Bought as a Christmas gift.
This was for my granddaughter at Christmas. It didn't hold her attention for very long. I think a book would have been just as good or better. The interactive things that came with it were not that interesting to her. She would have enjoyed a book with vivid pictures. She is four.

Package condition
I am happy with the product itself, but the condition the box came in is terrible. It looks like it was thrown around and all four corners of the game box are smashed.

Such a great kit for learning about bees!
We are homeschoolers and so this little kit definitely caught my attention. We're planning on an insect unit for the 2020 spring year and this will definitely fit into that then as well. The kit comes with 6 activities like the box states:Activity 1 - The first is about pollination that lets the kids put on a little bee finger figure and pollinate a live flower! You'll need to find your own flower though :P The instruction gives clear details of the parts of plants that need to be pollinated.Activity 2 - Bee Colony. In this activity kids will put together the inside of a hive to make a whole colony which are vinyl and so can be reused and moved around! They'll place different hive cells of larva, eggs, different pupas, pollen, uncapped and capped honey cells. Exra bonus, the vinyl hive cling can be put on a window as a sun catcher! I thought that was pretty cool and how it the stickers can be reused. You then attach the paper clips to the bee workers, drones and queen to be able to move them around magnetically with a little magnetic bee wand.Activity 3 - The Bee Dance. In this activity the booklet explains how bees communicate with dace. It shows different dances and what some of them mean.Activity 4 - In this project kids will make their own bee buzzer and learn how bigger bee's have slower wing beats etc.Activity 5 - With this activity kids can look through a cool bee mask to see how they actually see and the booklet explains how their FIVE eyes work (:Activity 6 - This is probably one of the cooler activities. The kit comes with an oversized bee model that can be split open to reveal inside organs. The booklet does a great job explaining what each part is and what it does. The last page gives quite a bit of other bee facts.I really love this kit and hope Scientific Explorer comes out with more like it for other insects and animals. They are a really wonderful learning experience and really recommend this one.
