The Anatomy of Denmark: Archaeology and History from the Ice Age to AD 2000

I really enjoyed this volume. My ancestors came from Denmark in 1866 but I had never read up on it very much and the combination of archaeology and history makes me want to read more. Very well done.

I found this short book to be a great pre-history/history of Denmark. Lot of good information, well presented

We learn from Professor Randsborg the sources about Denmark'santiquity all the way up to its highly modern present-day.The exchange of ideas made Denmark over the centuries an ableparticipant in European affairs. The history of its accomplishments are extremely interesting. Danish ideas, writings,and actions have been often-contradictory to be sure. Nevertheless,the successes are many more than anything else.Some are illuminated in this well written book!Dag StombergSt. Andrews, Scotland
