Problems
I purchased because of the password protection feature. First discovery, doesn't come with the stated security software but this can be tracked down through Toshiba. Once that is sorted out, next challenge was moving data between a Windows 10 machine & Windows 7. Supposed to be compatible with both – to make it work I ended up upgrading Windows 7 to 10.Now I was optimistic. A mistake. Tried to drag across (using File Explorer) about 25gb of data, after an hour see a message estimating another 6 hours. I.e. slow to the point of unusable. It's not my hardware – use other external USB storage.Returning isn't entirely easy discovering that Amazon Marketplace (the seller) isn't the same as dealing direct with Amazon.My conclusion – this is a branded product so my criticism is of the manufacturer more than the supplier. Looking at other reviews my experience isn't unprecedented but perhaps others have been lucky.As it doesn't work I can't give a positive rating for "value for money".

Don't buy from this seller
It was not as advertised, it did not come with encryption software and was manufactured by Kioxia, this explained as being manufactured under licence. However there is no encryption software supplied as advertised. I requested a return/refund, posted off the items and they were either lost in the post or something, but no response from the seller
