eBketone Blood Ketone Monitoring System + 10 Ketone strips

Having used this for a couple of months now, I can say I'm reasonably happy with the purchase. It is helping me to keep track of where I'm at with my ketosis and make me feel a bit more confident that I'm doing all the right things. It also helped me to know the stages of getting back into ketosis after the break I had over the holidays.Couple of negatives:- I found it hard getting the strips in the monitor, there is definitely a sweet spot. The device itself does feel a little cheaply made so this is not unexpected.- The strips are really pricey for what they are! It's good if you're not planning on testing that often so if I do it just once every 2 weeks or so, it's fine. It wouldn't, and hasn't, put me off buying any more so that's telling.Overally I'm pleased with it. Having bought some of those strips that you pee on and constantly getting a negative ketone reading no matter what I did or how much I KNEW I was in ketosis, this was a good investment. Not able to give a 5 star due to the issues above and also, how is a layman without any of the required scientific apparatus to compare supposed to know whether this is 5-star accurate?

After reading many negative feedbacks, I was hesitant to order the eBketone. However backed by Amazon's brilliant returns service, I decided to go for it.It is a good piece of kit, however sussing out the finger pricker took some time, I went on line to find a video.eBketone must have upped their game and upgraded the product quality as I had no problems whatsoever and the readings were easy to read and within 2-3 seconds.However analysis of the test results are not in the instructions so I dowloaded and printed out a keto levels chart from the internet.The eBketone comes in a handy zipper bag.Bear in mind that, once opened the testing strips are only good for 6 months.(13 months if unopened).Only eBketone testing strips can be used with this machine and they are expensive to buy .. approx £1.50 each.10 testing strips are included in the kit.All in all, an excellent, accurate and easy to use ketone measurement device, delivered in Amazon quick time.

Hi can you help some of my strip are not working it come up with a error code E02 which I believe is when the strip has been used . I opened new Packet and the same happened again and three of them not working . I have calibrated it each time with the chipS for their own strips. Anybody else had this problem. They are too expensive to dispose of them when not use them.

This vital machine was bought when I experienced a blood sugars spike and there was a fear I was suffering from Ketosis (where the body eats the fat but produced dangerous acids at the same time).This machine was reasonably priced and was able to set my mind at rest that I was not suffering from Ketosis. Strongly recommended

The unit is great, easy to use. The strips on the other hand are almost as expensive as the unit itself, so bear than in mind considering you only get 10 in a box! I got mine for measuring my ketones whilst starting keto diet, once I run out I haven't bought any more strips simply because they are too expensive.

Have been in Ketosis for 2 and a half weeks and losing weight , urine strips consistently show high levels of ketones. Despite fasting for that last 21 hours ,over the last 4 hrs and despite increased activity, my ketone levels are dropping ,which makes no sense.I have queried if severe carb restriction means that all produced ketones are utilised, because of greatly increased energy requirements, but am not finding any info on this and besides, if this is the case then surely it means that measuring ketone levels in the blood is not a reliable gauge of actual Ketosis. So basically I’m assuming faulty in absence of no other information .Also despite deepest setting having trouble piercing my fingers, have no trouble with my husbands blood test monitor or lancets.

Very easy to set up and use. You need very little of your blood. Readings are accurate.

Great ketone monitor. Easy to use and very practical. Has enabled me to accurately track my ketone status.
