Land N Sea Clear Ultra Strong Sail Patch Repair Tape

Update: We have now used this tape each time our sail tears - sadly it happens a couple of times every summer now. All of our repairs still hold which speaks to the integrity of this product. I am now buying a second roll since we ran out today making our latest repair. We bought a sail cover 2 years ago hoping that if sun damage was causing the problem with the sail tearing, the cover would prevent the issue. But I guess sun damage isn’t the problem.Original post: Fixed the shredding edges on our sunfish sail. We ordered this clear tape rather than the color of the shredding section on our 5 color sail so that we can fix other sections as needed. Way better than buying a new sail for $300 give or take. We followed the directions and the adherence of the tape is excellent. We’ve been sailing 3 or 4 times a week for about a month with absolutely no problem.

Worked well to repair a sunsetter awning that was worn and frayed on the edges. Clear, so the repair was not so obvious. So far has held up well after 2 months of exposure. It's not too thick to interfere with the operation of the retractable awning. It was fairly easy to use, kinda expensive but much cheaper than replacing the entire awning.

The product seemed strong and relatively easy to put on. The purpose was to eliminate/modify several small abrasion holes on a sunfish sail which was left tied down on the booms for several days while moored. I have not sailed the boat yet so cannot attest to its durability. My expectation is high, though.

I have used this to repair minor tears or abrasions on my 3Di main and Genoa. It works great!

i bought this tape to repair a large tear in my mylar (kevlar?) sail. i've tried other products such as 'clear, reinforced duct tape' but found it let go as the sail flexed. it was important to me that this tape be nearly invisible since the sail is translucent and the patch would show up with the sun shining thru it. i am happy to say that even though i put a tape repair on both sides of the sail, the repair is practically invisible. (one tip is to slightly off-set the patches so the edges are not exactly opposite each other.)as far as holding power, it seemed to stick well to the sail. i sailed with it once and saw no indication that it was going to release.being 6" wide, i had to use an 'exacto' knife while rolling the tape to cut off a 2" width, but if you're careful, it cuts easily in a straight line.it would not be clear enough to use on a spinnaker without showing, but there are better products for that purpose. overall, i recommend this product for the time i have used it.

Easy to put on. Very strong and doesn't peel.

Super sticky

I tried 2 patches, 1 is still on and I will keep testing it and the 2nd one came off the first time I used my sail. Not sure if it was my application so will see how the first one does.
