Keep your feet dry, comfortable and safe, whatever the conditions!
Personally, I would normally have gone for a cheap pair of Dunlops for a third of the price because they get the job done. However, this time around I was visiting a friend's alpaca farm for a few days to help with some heavy lifting and "farm engineering" (read fixing things without all of the proper things needed to do so!) and wanted something that was waterproof (obviously), sturdy and could take a beating. These wellies did just that, and then some! Some other reviewers commented on the boots being quite heavy. They are certainly heavier than trainers, flip-flops and cheap-O wellies, but no heavier than a decent set of work boots or walking boots. I spent days wearing them over concrete, gravel, rocks and trudging through 4 acres of uneven hill-side fields in the rain and even the blazing sun (we had some nice days!) and my feet were comfortable throughout. These were worn within minutes of the package arriving and have no need for "breaking-in" like other boots. The wellies fit just as you would expect any pair of wellies would. There's a few mm for a decent pair of socks and plenty of room to wiggle your toes in the cap. I've got fairly wide feet and they were absolutely great. There's also an insole over the steel foot-plate that prevents your feet from slipping anyway, so the fit doesn't really matter unless you're going to be playing football (or some other sports) in them!Overall, I think they are great. Now there's a pair on an alpaca farm in Devon that I, and any other visitors there, can use that are comfortable, safe and built to take some punishment!Good points- Waterproof- Comfortable- Some space for socks- Partly insulated- Can be worn straight away without the need for "breaking in"- Can take a beating and keep you safe- Looks cool- No heavier than decent walking boots- Easy to take on and off- Internal lining prevents your feet from slipping inside the boots- Stands up on its ownNot-so great points- The JCB logos are a bit overkillOverallGreat working wellington boots that will keep your feet dry, comfortable and safe, whatever the conditions!

Pay attention to what these reviews say!
I was very dubious about what size to order in these wellies, having read the reviews it would appear that I'd need a size smaller than usual, which is great but I'm an 11.5. Should I go for an 11 or even a 10?I opted for the 10s based solely on what others had said that they come up big. They arrived in good time, packaging was about as basic as can be but they certainly feel the part. A good weight to them and from initial impressions look like they will be adequate for what I need them for. So the moment of truth, the fit. Size 10 for size 11.5 feet. I gingerly put my foot in, fully expecting them to be tight and you know what, honestly, they're a bit big. Genuinely think I could have got away with a size 9. Ended up buying a memory foam insole to make up some of the space. Fit perfectly now.Quite how they managed to get the sizing so far out with these is beyond me, but does it really matter? It's a number on a boot. Get a pair that fit and you'll be thankful you bought them.If this review was helpful please drop me a like below. Thank you.

Surprisingly Comfortable
I thought I would take a chance and order my normal size: yes, these boots run big. I'm normally a 10 4E (extra, extra wide) and there's quite a bit of space on the sides and toe box right out of the bag, but a gel work insole and double socks provide an almost perfect fit in my usual size 10. They're not overly wide in the calf for my legs in particular, but I can manage getting my feet in by folding my trouser leg at the cuff and teasing them down.I have damaged feet from gouty arthritis and finding a pair of site boots (general labouring/groundworks) that I can survive a day on my feet is next to impossible. There's more than enough space in these to try various combinations of socks, insoles, and other supports without having my toes bunching up or rubbing against the steel cap. In fact, these are the first pair of boots out of the several I've bought over the past few years where my toes don't come anywhere near the end of the toe box and don't rub the steel cap mercilessly unless my socks are too thick. The soft sides are certainly forgiving as my feet swell through the day and aren't as uncomfortable during the breaking in period as the usual leather boot options out there. They're not ideal summer boots and my feet end up very sweaty by the end of the day, but don't become overly stingy and my foot pain is better managed in these than lightweight comp toe trainers despite the added weight and bulk of steel.Time will tell how durable these are, but I'm definitely coming back for a second pair at the first sign of damage.

As described
Good value for money, I work in agriculture so go through a pair of wellies every 12 months. Good steel toe caps, several dairy cows have tried and failed to crush the toes. Advantage, has JCB on the front so people think you work for them and have a lot of money.

Strong but heavy!
They are very strong and robust, handy spur for taking off. But extremely heavy!

Strong cheap and hard wearing - and long-lasting
Happy with this so far. It's doing better than my previous cheaper Dunlop pair. I would have bought Muck Boots but even they only lasted me months not years. So far I am impressed. They are comfortable and flexible, strong toe caps, as tested by our mare. Definitely buy a size smaller than you need and even then you'll need a pair of thick socks. Even if they only last me another 6 months they are cheap enough to buy a second pair. A definite good buy.6 months later - still going strong and waterproof. I wear them daily and they have never let me down. A very strong recommendation!

Very substantial wellies but not a fashion icon
These are very substantial wellies. The JCB logo is prominent at the front and the side. Great for dog walks but not a fashion statement at the local polo club! They are well made and easy to take off with the mounded heel device. They are advertised as wide fitting but my my left wellie is still a bit tight. The 9.5 size was a true fit even after I fitted a sheepskins sole liner.
