Great water heater. It heats a pot full of water quickly. It turns itself off when the water reaches boiling; however, if empty, it does not turn off.Always leave it sitting with some water in it. Otherwise, you can burn out the element

This works really well. Plus, it is a really nice design that is actually a pleasure to look at and takes less counter space than other water boilers with the same capacity. It does NOT have temperature control though, so if you drink teas that need specific temperatures below boiling, you will need to use a thermometer. Most of the teas I drink are okay with boiling water, and it cools quickly in a cup so if I need to use a "cooler temperature," I just wait a few minutes before adding the tea. Tea connoisseurs will likely cringe at that! I know it can be a real art to make certain teas. Of course, you can also use the boiling water for coffee pour-overs, French presses, etc.

Clean with "lime away" when water salts build up. Makes it as good as new. we've used these kettles for20 yrs, and never had a major problem. Had very good responses from manufacturer. Would not use the other advertised kettles.

Attractive and excellent at heating water quickly.

I really liked this kettle until the switch failed. It received multiple uses per day for over 2 years and performed well. However, the switch is enclosed in the handle, so now the whole unit is trash. Discarding an appliance after a few years is wasteful and makes me sad. I will replace this unit with one with a different switch design, even if it costs more.
