Q: Would these keep a classroom door shut to help deter someone from coming into the room?

I think the best option for your scenario would be shut & LOCK the door. I do not think I that any doorstop will prevent someone from opening the door if they really want in. There are some though that will sound a 120 db alarm. Immediately on first push which will be unnerving to the intruder and help others to locate the intruder. I hope you find the right answer that provides the security for everyone, but better yet I hope you never need it.

No. They are also too short for my doors.

I’ve never really considered a door stop as a security measure...more to hold doors open, etc.

Q: Will this work on cement floor? The door stops I have purchased in the past alway slip on the cement flooring so cannot hold the heavy door.

It should. I used both of the stoppers simultaneously on a very heavy door. Floor was terrazzo which I think is mostly cement. I also used my foot to kick the doorstoppers into position while holding onto the door to keep is still.
