Acclaim 87TW Mariner Collection 1-Light Post Mount Outdoor Light Fixture, Textured White

Exactly what we wanted.

I had to replace my yard light, which was old and had gotten damaged. Several of my neighbors have this light, and I like the clean, contemporary style. It probably does not put out as much light as some other styles. It is made of somewhat thin, cheap plastic. It probably won’t hold up that long in the Florida heat, but it is okay for the price. I am a older female with not much handyman experience, but was able to follow the instructions for installation, only took about 20 minutes to complete.

Purchased to replace ones we purchased several years ago. Plastic top broke off when cleaning.

I bought this to match one I already own. However, the new one was different from my existing light. Mine was 3 pieces - a base, a top and a diffuser. The new one is multiple pieces that are held together by 3 long screws that go from the base through the top. The problem is the diffuser doesn't nest properly leaving the 3 screws too short to put the top nuts on. Those nuts are cheap plastic and hold poorly. Mine fixture was very well designed where the base, diffuser and top attach with a simple twist. Very disappointed with this light. I got it to work, but, I fear it will not last long.

Update: These fixtures have survived Florence and Michael here in NC this year and continue to function without problems. They have faded and now look almost green from sun fading. I'll update again if they fade again or I have to paint them.These fixtures are plastic and do not have a ground wire. The bulb is well sealed against moisture and bugs making a home so it's good. They reflect light well but a built in reflector at the top focuses the light down so the area of illumination is limited by it's height above ground. They seem to be made well enough to hold up. I bought 5 of these to replace 35 year old bronze fixtures. I doubt they will hold up 35 years but I'm pretty sure I won't either so I figure 15 years and I won't be my problem anymore (HA! Same reason I installed a metal roof!) If they don't hold up I've got them set up so they'll be really easy to replace (5 min tops). I'm happy.

Easy to install. Sleek design. Will be easy to change bulb if necessary. I bought a white one and put it atop a black pole. The pole has a sensor and it works just fine with this new fixture. Fixture was well packed and arrived safely with all parts present. Included easy to understand, illustrated directions. Acclaim Lighting included plenty of contact information if needed. I used an 11Watt LED lamp which is equivalent to a 75 Watt incandescent, and this emits plenty of light for my patio. There is one mounting screw. The old lantern I was replacing had 3, but 1 seems quite adequate. Ships from Georgia, but the product is made in China.August 23, 2020 UPDATE: It’s a year later, and I am still happy with this light fixture. It still looks great and performs without fail.

This poll light matches lights around my pool which are white. This black light is perfect for a black pole that was in use but the light did not match the others. Now it does. Great!

Living beachside where everything metal rusts, this was needed to replace my 1 year old metal lamp post light that was rusted so bad I had to cut it off. I seen one of my neighbors had this lamp so I ordered it and have been happy with it. The compartment where the light goes is sealed so no bugs can get in. You have to make sure it is tightly put together. We had a windy storm come by and blew to top off. My neighbor's trash bin was open and I felt bad looking in it for the top but, when I found it in there I didn't feel bad. I reinstalled it, twisting the top clockwise and it has been tight ever since with no problems. It's been a few months now and working well.
