I liked it!
After my run yesterday, I had the Strawberry flavored pound and it was pretty good. The texture was a bit unusual as it was kind of chalky but it wasn't bad in anyway, just unique. I historically have had a Combat protein powder drink after but I like this way more as the ingredients speak to me way more. I live in Scottsdale, Arizona where it's hot AF so for me, electrolytes and salts are extremely important in recovery plus too much protein after running makes me sick in the heat. Also, they're pretty convenient to travel with but make sure you keep them chilled. The only downside is the texture but then again, it's not that bad, just noticeable. Don't let this be a factor in your decision as this is just for Huma to make note of. I imagine they are working to perfect this as I type this.I love these and have recommended these to my friends.

Delicious recovery made easy
These make recovery easy and stress-free!I'm a huge fan of the Huma gels so when these were released I was very excited to try them out.I'll be honest I couldn't wait for a workout to taste them (I'm impatient)! Open them both immediately and was very pleasantly surprised by the flavor. It was the perfect blend of sweet and tart for me as some have said refreshing which I would agree with.I can't pick which one I like best because to me they're both good in their own way. These would be great on a long hike, wonderful after a long run or a hard workout in general. Easy post run snack when you want something healthy and clean. Two thumbs up from me!

Quick Recovery food readily available!
I am so glad to have a recovery 'food' available as soon as I am finished with my run. I've used recovery foods before, most of which are drinks that I need to make from a powder form, which doesn't seem like a big deal, but often I finish a run especially if I'm in a remote location, I'll get back to my car and not have water left to mix up the drink, so now I have to remember to keep extra water in the car, which usually isn't a problem but sometimes I do forget. Now I can have a Huma Recovery gel right there ready for me whenever I'm ready for it. I agree with another reviewer that although its not exactly like the taste of the Strawberry Huma Gel it is still very good and easy to go down. I've been using Huma gels for years so was pumped to see they released a recovery food as well, I love their real food blends with all natural ingredients!

Great new product
I have been a fan of Huma for a while, using their original and now plus products. I was excited when I heard they were putting out a recovery product. Surprisingly I liked the Mango Banana a little more than the strawberry, I usually am not much of a mango guy.I run early in the morning one recovery pouch post run was just what I need to recover me between post run and when I get around to making breakfast. It is filling without feeling full. Legs felt great and ready to go again the next day.Great product, in my opinion, it will be incorporated into my marathon training for sure. Well done guys!

Convenient and Effective
I've been using Huma Gels for years, so when they released a post-workout recovery gel, I was really excited to try it. I'm a brand loyal person, so the more I can get from one place, the better.I've been able to try both flavors and love them both. They are light on the stomach, but satisfy in the way you need after a long workout. My body feels replenished, and it holds me over until my next real meal, so that I'm not ravenous for the rest of the day. The taste of both flavors is great, but the texture took me a little by surprise, having been used to the original Huma Gels. But, after that first sip, you get used to it. I would describe the texture like the regular Huma Gels, with protein mixed in.These gels are also super convenient. Throw them an in your bag and they are there waiting for you for when you're done your workout. No opening seperate packages and mixing with water.I'll definitely be keeping these in my nutrition routine during my marathon and triathlon training this year!

Easy and delicious recovery
I really like Huma products and have been using the gels for endurance mountain bike races for the last several years. I was really excited about about a recovery smoothie. I never remember to bring a recovery powder and water to the trails and this solves my problem by being able to quickly grab a pouch, put it in my bag with all of my bike gear and then enjoy it post ride. It is perfect to hold me over until I can get real food to eat. Recovery is the key to good performances and this definitely starts the process off right. I really like that there are no artificial ingredients and only plant based protein. It basically contains fruit puree, pea and brown rice protein, and chia seeds. I like both the mango banana and strawberry. I will definitely be using these for the upcoming mountain biking season.

First Impressions of Huma Recovery Gel
I have been a big fan of Huma Gels for several years and use them as my main nutrition during training and competing in triathlons, trail runs and ultra marathons. I was excited to try out the Huma Gel Recovery as I have struggled to find a post recovery fuel that does not leave me filling bloated.I used Huma Gel Recovery after several training workouts (ie. strength training and interval speed work). Here is my thoughts after using Huma Recovery 3 times.Pros- I found that the Recovery Gel sat very well in my stomach and did not leave me feeling bloated. I also found the consistency to be good.Cons- I felt there was a slight chalky taste to the Recovery Gel that I do not taste in the normal Huma Gels. I also felt the Mango flavor was too tart for my taste, I have a slight sweet tooth. If those two things were adjusted I would give it a 5 out of 5.
