Not much of a fan of these. Can't get past the weird smell and texture. ....and I'm not fussy!

I've tried the shirataki noodles before, but my local grocer doesn't have a large selection so I purchased the "rice" online. I think I prefer these to the noodles, they did a great job blending in with the Thai that I had made and helped give it the right texture. It's not exactly the same, sure, but it's a great substitute for people that are trying to reduce their carb intake.I read some other reviews that suggested different preparation types, and opted to rinse them in a colander and then fry them with a bit of sesame oil to add some flavor and eliminate some of the soggyness. I would definitely buy them again!

not good at all
I tried the shirataki noodles and the rice is no different. However, since they are small little "dots" similar to pastina or orzo they are easier to eat but they don't hold any sauce or gravy. Its a shame because they are so healthy. The texture is not good. They are slippery. Once you rinse both the noodles and rice at least 5 times in cold water, there is no smell but I just can't get past the texture. Unfortunately for me, I bought 6 packages. Can't waste my money so they will be a good filler to add to my dog's food.

Better than expected!
I was originally nervous to try these, but they're very easy to cook and remind me of mini tapioca balls. There's no flavor to them so whatever seasonings or sauces you add, it'll absorb and take on those flavors.

Wonderful rice substitute-no after tastes at all. The time it takes to prepare is well worth it. Great for diabetics 0 carbs.

This is not food!!
This shouldn't even be categorized as edible food. It has texture of plastic and rubber and the flavor is about the same. The package had a weird odor to it. It looked more like medical supply than food. My rating is no star but there is no option for it. I basicly took one bite and threw rest away.

It makes a great rissoto. Low calorie, and it takes the flavor of whatever you add with it.
