Great quality. Easy to assemble.
Excellent! Very well made, quick and easy to assemble. Holds logs for my outdoor fire pit. I have my rack stacked above the top rails and still, it holds great, no problem. Very nice, quality log rack.

Great item, SUPER value!!! This extremely sturdy & easily adjustable rack holds as much as you can load!
What a nifty rack! Finally, I'm able to customize my racks so it fits exactly into wherever I want simply by buying/cutting the bases into the length needed. The rack supports a LOT of wood & best of all, everything stays put, no more pieces of wood falling this way and that & even when I get to the last few pieces. The rack can go anywhere, inside or out. The sides support great deal of weight/pressure without shifting outward or bending. The base is also very sturdy, depending on what type of wood you use. (I use pressure-treated 2x4's for the short lengths & 2 x 6's for longer ones). Each of my racks are different lengths because they're easily customized to the available space. For lengths over 10' I suggest putting a brick (or other weather-proof item) under the centers of the lower beams to keep the beams from warping/sagging.Best part for me is my wood is off the ground & easy to manage. It prevents small animals ie. chipmunks, mice, etc. from nesting in the wood & makes it very simple to throw tarps over the wood when it's stacked. I got 5 of these because we burn a lot of firewood during the winter & like to keep it neat all year long. We like to rotate our wood by age & this rack makes it very easy to keep pieces sorted by how long we've had it as well as by size . Our city requires all wood be kept up off the ground & this is a lot easier than the planks & cement blocks I'd been using.Set-up took only a few minutes: take 2 equal lengths of pre-cut wood, slide them into the brackets & naiI/screw the beams using the holes provided, then add the metal U's for the sides. Poof! It's done! I spent more time at the store picking out beams that anything else. especially like the fact the cord of wood we keep in the garage is much easier to keep neat . I no longer run the risk of having any of it tumble free & hitting my car. All wood kept at the far back of our property looks very neat. No more taking a piece (or pieces) of wood off the pile & having the rest tumble down,This rack is an exceptional value & I highly recommend it to everyone whether you need to stack a small amount or cords of wood.

Perfect.
So the rack ends arrived today and I had an extra 2x4x16 in the pole barn.I unpacked the rack ends and inspected for damage. There were some rub marks, but really who cares. These will be outside in the elements holding firewood.I cut the 2x4 into two 8 foot lengths and they fit easily into the box ends of the rack ends. I didn’t need to trim, bang, or otherwise persuade them to go on.I did not use the screws, which everyone says are junk, as the pressure of the firewood will keep them where they need to be.I’ve place some pictures of the two racks. The rack in I purchased and just put up last week. It’s not really worth the money, 40 dollars. I felt the need to be gentle with it to keep it from breaking. With a 2x4 and these rack ends, this is perfect. The time ends on this rack are far and above what the more expensive rack cost me.It’s sits on the block much more sturdy than the tube leg type ends on the first rack, which would easily sink into the soil.Be sure to use a ground contact 2x4 and I still placed pavers under the end.So this rack cost me in total roughly 30 dollars total, which is 10 dollars cheaper than the first rack. This rack is sturdier and overall better built than the first rack.Photo one is a comparison between the two racks. This review is for the rack in the back.Photo 2 shows the feet of the first rack.Photo 3 shows the base of the currently reviewed rack.Updated:I have purchased four total and really need four more in order to meet my needs for cords of wood for next winter. It seems the seller limits the number a person can purchase to four, which leaves me four short and unable to use amazon. So, to walmart I went. Seems like a silly and not so smart thing for the seller to do, as it pushes people else where. The racks are still perfect and I am extremely happy, though I can't buy more.

Looks kind of cheap but is working out so far.
Be sure to put on something sturdy. I placed mine in the grass then stacked a face cord on it. A week later it fell over. The legs sunk into the ground and it lost balance.

Good 4 foot log rack, easily holds 1/4 cord of wood.
Bought 2; I keep one one my patio for convenience, and the other around the side of the house. The first problem with my order was I received a different item, not a log rack. Amazon did a fantastic job getting me a return label and accepting the return of the wrong item. Then, when I received the first rack, it was slightly rusted, but I'm not overly bothered by that; after all it's going to be otside in the weather. I can always just get some Rustoleum paint to touch up or re-paint the log rack. Secondly, the hardware to assemble the rack didn't fit properly. The screws/bolts were too short; not allowing any thread protrusion through the end of the nuts. Being a retired propulsion engineer, no threads through the end of a nut is unacceptable, because the nut can back off and the rack could fall apart. This was a simple fix by removing one of the washers and the threads protruded through the end of the nuts. When I received my 2nd log rack (through Amazon because of the return of the wrong item), It was new, no rust, hardware fit perfectly. I'm perfectly satisfied with the item. Both 4 foot racks easily hold a half a cord of wood (1/4 cord on each rack), so I can sit and enjoy a nice evening fire in my outdoor fire pit. The manufacturer just needs to have their Quality Control people do a better job of checking products during manufacturing, and the manufacturer shipping department needs to make sure the correct item is shipped per the order.

Easy, sturdy, does the job and looks good
I wanted something to stack a few days of wood in the house with. This absolutely does the job.Looks good in the space, was able to make it the size that I needed (opted not to purchase the full metal one and go for the DIY version). Will probably pick up another for the rec room stove as well.

Good overall quality
The metric measurements given may be a little off. This itemfits a standard 2x4. (1-1/2 x 3 1/2). The screws that come with it seem shortfor outdoor use so I replaced with longer coated deck screws.

Simple and flexible firewood rack
I used this to build a rack with a couple of days’ supply of wood in my carport near the door. Assembly is easy, and requires wood that you provide.Of note…• The uprights _will_ splay a bit at the top. There is a fair amount of outward pressure from the firewood, all bearing on a simple joint down at the thin 2x4 sleeve. There will be flex.• The sleeves for the 2x4 are pretty much correct in the narrow dimension, but a solid 1/8” too large in the other. That is where a lot of the flex will come from - most of the work of keeping the joint at 90° is being done by a couple of small screws, not a solid mechanical joint. My approach was to use a 2x6 instead, with a saw kerf to give the wood and sleeve a snug fit in the dimension that matters most for the joint. Essentially, it creates an oversized 2x4 for the sleeve to grab. See photo for a detail view. Any remaining splay (a little bit) is only due to metal flex. This also has the benefit of keeping the steel from off the ground.A good, cost-effective rack system.

Brilliant idea
Simple and effective. Quality construction. I love the idea of using 2x4's to customize the width and keep the firewood away from direct contact with the ground.

Good product
The first one I received was mangled and not at all usable. I returned it and the replacement is fine. The screws are easy to strip so be careful when attaching your 2x4's. All in all it does it's job and looks nice.
