Detailed and Informational
I’ve always had trouble with my hair. As a little girl, I envied my friends’ hair. They would come to class with the cutest hair styles and they never appeared to have the same problems that I was experiencing. My thin hair slipped through every clip I tried to put in it and absolutely refused to stay in a ponytail unless it was fastened so tightly that it gave me a headache.I always assumed that my hair was something I had to live with. And while I’ve come to accept and appreciate my hair, I was so excited to find a book that outlined so many of the problems I grew up dealing with! I had no idea that there were options for people with my hair type.Houff covers so many different points in her book, styling products and utensils to shampoo and special organic treatments, that I now have the information I need to coerce my hair into submission (so to speak).Along with including great and all inclusive information, Houff also personalizes her work and makes the read enjoyable and, at times, funny. I enjoyed reading this book and highly encourage those of you who are also dealing with fine hair to check it out! It offers many great tips for learning to manage your hair type.
