Ezy Dose Magnifying Pill Cutter, Blue

I have a large round tablet I need to quarter daily. The cutters I found I have a hard time getting it cut even. This cutter has an oval shape in the bottom which I didn’t see. My tablets are too big to fit. So, not helpful for round tablets.

Not a huge fan of this contraption but I do know if it is bc of the pill type or the pill cutter itself. I could never get a pill to cut in half and it was pretty frustrating. Lost a lot of pills as a result.

Only reason I am giving this only 4 stars, is that there is no way to hold small pills in place as you put the magnifying top down to cut. Some of the pills I have to cut are rather small! Other than that, it works great even though frustrating the pill moves as the lid goes down!

It looked great in the picture and it does what it supposed to, but it can be better. the place where the pill goes is in reality ,much shallower than it looks here and the pill moved around so it does not cut exactly in half. But for $5, it is a good deal and beats biting the pill in half

It's okay. The lid totally comes off, it's not alligator style like the others. The compartment to put the pill in is really shallow so the pill can move around in that space. That's tough when you're trying to line pills up to cut them. What I like is the magnifying lid, though slight as it is. My elderly dad is on tiny diabetic pills and it would be tough for him to use ( I ended up cutting them for him and it was hard to line them up!). I think I would prefer the type of cutter where you push the pill against the V to cut it, this unfortunately doesn't have anything to brace the pill against and if you don't have good sight or nimble fingers you will get an off cut and wrong dosage. I'll be searching for another pill cutter for my elderly folks and keep this one for myself.

I bought this as an exact replacement for one that through use had lost 2 of the 4 locating pins. It works as well as its predecessor, and pills are cut evenly in two with just firm, quick downward pressure. You just have to be sure the pill is centered on the alignment mark cast in the lower half of the case.If this splitter fails, I'll get another just like it.

I have two meds that I take daily but one tiny pill that is scored must be cut in half. My old fingers can't break them anymore and the pill was hard to see and difficult to position on the mat that must be used to line up with the cutting blade. Couldn't do it and it is not returnable. Looks as tho it would work with pills the size of an aspirin or larger.

Looks cheap, but gets the job done! Leaves a little dust of the pill, but that probably is to be expected when cutting pills, no matter what device is used. All in all, a good deal for the money.

マルチビタミン剤を購入したところ、粒がものすごく大きくて飲みにくかったためにピルスプリッターを購入しようと思い立った。いくつか検討してみてヒンジ式のと迷ったが、外で持ち歩く予定はないし、ルーペ付きで位置合わせがやりやすいかなと思って購入。　錠剤を固定する機能はついていないので、台座の錠剤型のガイドに合うよう指でいじってやる必要がある。でも上蓋の全面がレンズになっていて、錠剤を拡大して見ることができるため、極小の錠剤でも位置合わせがやりやすいだろう。試しに4ミリほどの錠剤を4分割してみたが、なんなくこなせた。本体サイズも小さ過ぎないので扱いやすいのが好感だ。　だがしかし問題が。写真をよく見ると分かるが、これは上蓋と台座の2つに分かれてそれらを結合させることによって錠剤をカットする。しかし上蓋を押しこむとき、少しでも前後左右にずれていると台座側の山に上蓋の端が引っかかってしまうため、抵抗となって最後まで押し切れない。錠剤だけではなく上蓋の位置も注意してやらないといつまでたっても終わらないのだ。　大きめの錠剤なら干渉が始まる前に刃が錠剤にかかってパカっと割れるので構わないけれど、小さい錠剤だとそうもいかない。ひたすら干渉しないように注意してカットしなくてはならないわけだが、毎日のことなのでさすがに億劫だ。　ヒンジ式のに買い直そうかとも思ったけど、千円もしたわけだし何よりゴミにしてしまうのはもったいないので、がんばって加工することに。上蓋の端をヤスリとカッターで削り、テキトーに押し込んでも干渉しないレベルにまで小さくしてやることとした。ひたすら削ること30分、やっとまともに使えるようになったが…やっぱりどーも釈然としない。　あとルーペなんだが、これはルーペを見ながらカッターを動かして位置を調整できると良かったのだが、台座周囲の山と4つのガイドがあるという構造上それはできない。あくまでも最初に錠剤を置く際に拡大して確認してやるという用途にしか使えない。ある程度錠剤の粉が飛び散ることを覚悟の上で、付属の台座ではなく普通の皿の上などでやれば何とかなるが。　これで千円弱？100円ショップ以下の品質としか言いようがない。たぶんアメリカとかだとスーパーの隅っこで1〜2ドルくらいで売られてたりするんだろうなーと想像してしまった…ので、アメリカのアマゾンに行ってPill Splitterで検索してみたら、あんのじょう同じ物が2ドルで売られていた。orz

この商品の売り文句の「ルーペで拡大して見える」に惹かれて購入しましたが、大きく見えるだけであり、それで錠剤をうまくカットすることにはまったく繋がって居ないというある意味詐欺的な商品であり、いささか腹立たしく思っています。その上カバーを持ち上げて錠剤をセットする際などに刃に容易に触れそうになるなど危険極まりない構造です。以上の理由で評価を星一つと致します。

固い糖衣錠は、少し糖衣がはがれるものの綺麗に割れました。しかし、薬を中心に置くのですが、特に窪みがあるわけでもなく、素材もプラスチックなので、薬の形状によっては少し注意が必要です。特に、ラグビーボール状のものは置く際に、不安定です。薬を置く部分がもう少し滑りにくい素材だったらよかったのに。追伸：かなり大きな錠剤でも対応可能だと思います、（直径11mm,高さ7mmの薬は楽勝で割れました）

糖衣錠をカッドすると錠剤が逃げてしまい半分にカットするのは至難の技。糖衣錠以外は滑らずカットは出来るが粉々になる事がある。錠剤が逃げないような工夫が欲しい。

思った以上に大きく、アメリカのサプリの切断用って感じです。国内の小さな錠剤を割るには不向きかも
