LifeProofiPhone XR FRĒ Series Case - TIKI (FAIR AQUA/BLUE TINT/LIME), waterproof IP68, built-in screen protector, port cover protection, snaps to MagSafe

I really wanted to like this case but due to the fact the phone does not functioning properly when in the case I’ll have to give it a big thumbs down.Pros: appears rugged, looks good, feels good in hand, phone fits snugly in case, easy to install & passed the initial waterproof test in my sink prior to using with my phone. Yes, the touch screen takes a little extra pressure to tap or type but this is acceptable to me as a waterproof case.Cons:1. if you open the charge port you’ll get dust particles in between phone and screen protector which is annoying but expected from a sealed case.2. People I talk to say they can’t hear me very well but it’s a waterproof case right so I could have lived with this.3. (Major Issue!) proximity sensor does not function properly with this case on and this is a deal breaker for me. Half the time, after making a call and removing from my face to use the number pad, speaker function or end a call, the phone will not wake up not matter what I do. The other half of the time it will wake up but no touch screen functions will respond and I’m unable to end a call. I do not need to check my email or surf the web when in adverse weather environment but I do need to be able to use the phone functions.

Overall this is a really nice case. I bought this after the back glass on my iPhone XR shattered from a face down drop of just over 2 feet while in an otterbox commuter. That’s right, FACE DOWN drop shattered the whole BACK. This case seems like it’ll offer excellent protection. It passed the water submersion test. I haven’t accidentally or intentionally tested its shock protection capabilities. The touch screen seems to be just as responsive as it was without the cover. It does have little rainbow bubbles here and there that resolve just by the tiniest bit of pressure on the back of the phone. Not worth deducting a star. I was a little disapointed to find that the rumor that lifeproof cases carry a warranty against physical damage to your device is not true. That was one of my main reasons for picking lifeproof. I’m not sure if they used to cover damage and stopped, or if it was always nothing but rumor. I’m also a little disapointed to find they are now owned by otterbox. I thought by buying this I was swearing off otterbox products after having to replace my iPhone XR after less than one month of owning due to the otterbox commuters total lack of shock protection. Oh well. I doubt they’d have gotten the message anyway.

I’ve had this case on my XR for 9 months, and just bought myself a new one so I could give my old one to my husband. I don’t buy insurance on my phones, but I also don’t let them live outside of the Lifeproof case. This case is amazing at protecting your phone from pretty anything and everything. I have two very little kids, and live a rough and tumble life, and I never have to think about my phone breaking or getting scratched. I used to use Otterbox cases until they stopped putting the screen protector as part of the case. I like Lifeproof better. It’s slimmer and more protective. Every once in a while it will do something weird, like the lift to wake function will get squirrelly for a minute or it will take a hard press to activate a button way at the corner of the screen. But these inconveniences are few and far between, and are totally worth putting up with in exchange for having a phone that you could literally throw across the room without worrying about it. I’m a total Lifeproof convert.

This is my 3rd Lifeproof case. I did the paper towel test, submerging it underwater prior to putting my phone in, and it stayed bone dry. My daughter has enjoyed using my phones for underwater photos and videos with my last 2 Lifeproof Fre cases (on a 5, and then a 6S). When a piece broke off of my last one, the company replace it. I did not even bother to look at other cases this time. Many are only shock and dirtproof, and not waterproof. It makes the phone much bulkier than without a case, but puts my mind at ease. I still remember, several phones back, when it was pouring rain, and I apparently had my phone on my lap in the car. Got out of the car, and phone fell into a huge puddle, discovered about an hour later. Lots of days in the bag of rice, I was damn lucky to have it still work. Have gotten waterproof cases ever since! This XR case has only 3 colors, and only 1 is a choice other than black or gray. Would have liked having more color choice than only the mint green (Tiki).

This is the 3rd life proof case I’ve had. Loved the first one for my iPhone 7 as it worked great. Only issue was the home button cover ended up tearing. I got the second one and it held out until I just got my iPhone XR. Only problem with second one was that there was space between the cover and the screen which made the touch screen miss sometimes when not pushing hard with your fingers. I just returned this one as the space between the screen and the cover was too much. Very frustrating trying to type with it. On the plus side these life proof cases are very durable and definitely waterproof. If you can deal with having to push hard when typing then I would recommend, but it was too much for me.

Great for the price. I got the grey and there are no imperfections whatsoever. It definitely looks brand new. I have ordered from the LifeProof website before and did not have a good experience. I paid for expedited shipping and it still took over a week to get. And when it came, the back had scratches all over it. I ended up just keeping it because I’m too clumsy and couldn’t risk going without a case for much longer. I’ve used that one for over a year and only bought this one because some how the corner broke and let water into my phone. Thankfully it did not damage my phone, it still looks brand new.This case is very nice and exactly as pictured. Was easy to install and fits snug. There is a little tiny “scratch” on the screen at the top right, but it is barely noticeable and I would hardly consider it a scratch. The touch screen is a little off as sometimes it doesn’t acknowledge my finger, but the other case didn’t have the screen protector so I’m chalking it up to just being used to a bare screen thus far! Overall love it and now my husband wants one!

Really impressed with the case I’m a big life proof case fan I had the slam case before but e fed up buying screen protectors all the time so decide to get it fully enclosed perfect for use in work plumbing as quite often the phone gets wet ✅❤️

Robust design and not that overly bulky.Don’t like the fact that regardless how I tried I cannot get the look of water trapped between the phone and cover screen.

Seal not as well made as before and a pain to install. Should be better at this price. Didn’t keep water out as it should so phone got damp.

This is my second LifeProof case, and i trust it with my life... aka my phone. The product is great- but its the warranty and customer service that will keep me as a customer. When a button came off, i called them up and they sent me another. When part of the seal came off, i submitted an online warranty request, and again they sent me another. Plus, so far, my phone has remained intact through any falls, as well as like-new condition.

Great case as far as protection goes. Had to return this case as after only owning it for 2 days it started to get dirt stains on the sides that would not come off. Super disappointed about this as I absolutely LOVED the colours in the case I bought!! So, instead I had to return it and get the black one! I highly recommend considering this before you buy the colourful cases!!! If it was cheaper I wouldn’t have minded but for an almost $100 case I’d expect it to clean up better than that!!! Still the cases quality in how well it protects your phone is outstanding!! Just super disappointed in its ability to stay clean!!
