Marsh Allen Deluxe Barrel Smoker Grill

Got one used in good condition off of Amazon Warehouse deals for a price I couldn't pass up. Box came torn and damaged, but luckily the grill only had a small dent I was able to hammer out. Like others, I thought they packaged wrong parts but it did end up being complete. The problem with the grill is not wrong parts, its the instructions.. the pictures do not match the parts. But if you go slowly and try to match what they are trying to explain, you will be ok. To help others, here are some tips. Start with the "up" plates and attach them loosely to make the legs. The bottom grate does fit in the given holes and are not bent 90 degrees like the pictures, they go straight in and use the 2 wing nuts to hold them in place. There are addendum nuts that attach to the cooling rack, in a small plastic bag.

I ordered the Deluxe Barrel Smoker Grill as a father's day gift. Amazon shipped quickly like they always do.Opened up the box to assemble Friday morning and lo and behold the first part I am to assemble is not the right part- the bottom "shelf" grid thingy. This seems to be an important part to get right for the stability of the grill :-( After 5 calls and 3 messages left with the person the receptionist thinks I need to talk to I have not heard back from anyone. Not that I expected to get the new part by Sunday, but I was kinda hoping that maybe it is the right part, just the wrong instructions and someone might be able to help me get it assembled in time to present the gift :-(I am very excited about this grill, it seems like it will be great. Sturdy, etc... I'll update if I ever hear back from Marsh Allen Customer Service. I REALLY don't want to pack this thing back up!!!!!

This grill itself is great I love it easy to put together. I only gave it three stars because I have to spend money to have someone weld a part that is broke. Make sure you prime the grill so it lasts. I slathered olive oil all over inside n out than burned a whole bag of charcoal to seal it before I cooked.

I used this grill for the first time on 4th of July, and it worked great and I put 12 burgers and 16 hotdogs on it and I still had room.it would be better if it had charcoal plate instead of a grate because I use wood chips with my charcoal and it fell through yesterday so I stacked it on top of the coals. it does seemed a little flimsy

I have had this grill for a few months now and I have to say it’s great for the price. It has a large capacity and the warming rack is perfect for those items that you don't want directly on the grill. You can make a full meal for a large family or family get together with this grill. Cook Burgers and Brats on the grill; baked potatoes and corn on the cob on the warming rack and you have a meal. You have to know how to lay a charcoal fire but start out small and work your way up. This grill is well- built and in no time you will be grilling like a Kansas City master.

When I received this item it was on time, but I immediately felt something wrong due to the carton the Grill was in was dilapidated and torn. 10 minute's after starting construction I found that the wrong part's to even start assembly were wrong. I conntacted the maker of the grill, and they sent out the "replacement" part. It was the exact same piece that was wrong in the 1st place. I again contacted the maker's, and after 3 day's of phone tag, they informed me that they don't have the part I need, and that I need to return the product for refund. This whole process took around 2 week's, and I still don't have a grill. I WILL NOT be purchasing a Marsh Allen product ever again.

I would like to thank Amazon prime for it's true to the word 2day delivery, used the Marsh Allen Deluxe Barrel grill for this past 2014 Memorial DAY holiday,exceeded my expectations, it's was crazy,I started with 25 burgers and 15 Frankfurters and still had some space left on the grill, looking forward to the 4th of July for the next BBQ,THANKS

I have not mastered the smoker side yet but the adjustable coal hieght must be the key. The shape of the grill makes slow cooking for veggies a snap. Last but most important is that I purchased hardwood for flavor. That makes it all worth the wait and prep work. No gas in my future!
