Great tips and ideas, but....
...they are going to require you some time and effort. Nothing is really free in life and what you get is determined by what you want to pay. In this book are great ideas and tips, and I have underlined and bookmarked dozens of them for future use. However, just because it is free doesn't mean there isn't a price to pay. All of them require some time and effort from a little to a lot. I found the ideas on how to manage your author page quick and easy to do. However, contacting the top reviewers seems very time consuming. I gave this section a brief, run through, and I do mean brief, but I only found one top reviewer who reviewed books and then when I read further there was an update stating that this reviewer no longer reviewed books. This was a very brief scan of this section, but if someone has the time this idea might work really well. However, there were lots of great ideas which I plan to follow up on as soon as I have time.Like all of Weber's books it was well-written, easy to read and follow, lots of screen shots to show you exactly what was being explained and it was impeccably edited. I highly recommend it for gathering new ideas for marketing your Kindle book without racking up huge costs.

Well Organised, Helpful Advice
A number of these books on producing and marketing kindle books are rather shoddy and derivative of information freely available on the web. Weber's is, in contrast, thoughtful, reflective and extremely well written and well organised. I enjoy reading it and am following his good suggestions as I make my foray into marketing my own ebook. I'm pleased to have come across one of such value, and I recommend it to others in my position.

Sensible advice from someone who's been there, done that
Great overview of Kindle book marketing.Biggest tip. Don't try to shortcut the system. Too many books make it sound like you can publish your book today, and make a million dollars over the next thirty days. Weber gives some more practical advice. Consider this: The average book sells less than 100 copies over its lifetime. If you, as an author, want to sell more books, you're going to need to roll up your sleeves and put in the hard work necessary to sell more copies. How do you do that?1. Collect reviews. Word of mouth is one of the most important methods to market your book. The hard part is building momentum. I've read many books that suggest asking friends, relatives, anyone you know to review your book. Steve gives more practical tips on how to hook up with Amazon's top reviewers, and build a collection of strong, topic focused reviews.2. Social media is a must. Facebook has over 800 million registered readers world wide. If you're not harnessing its power to marker your books, you're missing out.3. Build an author platform. It doesn't have to be fancy. A simple website, or blog, with links to your book is good enough to start. Weber gives a lot of great advice on how to start a blog, what type of stuff to post, and how to promote your blog.4. Take advantage of Amazon's author tools. Use Author Central as a starting place to launch your author platform. You can post a short author bio, pictures, videos, links to your blog, and twitter accounts. If you haven't set up your account, make this your first stop after reading the book. This book, and Steve's other book, Plug Your Book, will give you a realistic look at self publishing, and what it takes to drive your book up the charts.

Lots of Good Advice
Received a free copy of this book. Read it and wished that I had read it before I published 2 books that I had written. It gave a lot of advice, especially an action plan that I could have used. Recommend to all, especially the first time author.

I would have to say the best I've seen on Kindle advertising
I would have to say the best I've seen on Kindle advertising. And also ethical and encourages authentic reviews and representation of the author. Highly recommend for all authors to read on Amazon.
