Description
- For-Bid is used to treat coprophagia, or eating stool, in your pet.
- For-Bid makes your pet’s feces taste undesirable in order to stop the consumption of feces.
- For-Bid can be used in horses, cats, and dogs. If one pet is eating another pet’s feces, such as your dog eating your cat’s feces, you can feed both pets For-Bid.
- For-Bid is most effective in acute and intermediate coprophagia. Acute coprophagia occurs in young pets and has only been occurring for 1-3 weeks. Intermeidate coprophagia occurs in pets younger than five for 1-3 months. Chronic coprophagia occurs in pets over the age of five who have been eating feces for over a year.
- For-Bid may not help treat chronic coprophagia, as it has become a set behavior in your pet.
When eaten by your pet, FOR-BID goes through the gastrointestinal tract where the purified vegetable protein fraction and sodium glutamate are digested, ending up in the feces. This gives the feces a pungent taste when excreted, and discourages consumption by your pet. As the unpleasant flavor is experienced and the association to it is reinforced, the habit of consuming stool should cease.
