Amazing additional experience to the base game!
This expansion is incredible. I’m still playing but the added components to the game delivers a whole new experience to the base game. Looking out for others, investigating, love stories, sheltering refugees... There’s a lot to do here and every single piece is full of sentiment and reality. This game is one of the most immersive board games I’ve ever played. If you like the way This War of Mine deals with reality, by all means, get this expansion. You will not regret.

Another winner
An incredible expansion to an already incredible game. The new farmers module and the market allow for more flexibility and less survival meta gaming, as well as being easier for new players, while the sewers offer their own risks and rewards. The new campaigns and scenarios are the cherry on top.

Wow
This is an amazing expansion. The additional scenarios are great, and the sewer system adds a lot of depth to the game as well. Highly recommend.

An Immersive Memorable Board Game
Until recently, This War Of Mine held the number one spot on my list of favorite board games to play (beaten only by D&D's Lords Of Waterdeep). As immersive as a tabletop rpg, but without the need for a DM, This War Of Mine is complex, thoughtful, dark, and reminds you that humans are both powerful and vulnerable. This is a game of survival, which allows players to choose the paths of fate for their characters--be forewarned, when food is low, characters succumb to illness and death in realistic scenarios which some players may find depressing or disturbing!I played this both as a solo player and with two players. The difference was vast. As a single player controlling the group of characters, I had difficulty keeping characters fed, rested, and alive. My games were immersive and intense, but frustrating as I struggled to protect the house/resources, scavenge, build household necessities, and give characters items to raise their happiness levels. I was constantly beginning the game over again and accomplishing little in the overall game. With two players, it was much easier to build a bed, radio, collect water, scavenge for food--but it was never easy! Two players, that is--two full turns during the same day to accomplish tasks--allowed me and my gaming friend to complete a full game. Completing a full game took nearly nine hours of continuous play. We high fived each other upon reaching the end--the experience was awesome! The extended amount of time and overall dark theme of the game was too much for my friend who doesn't want to play again, while it only increased my appetite for more play. However, my future games will be played as though with two players, as it's the only way I feel I can win with my gaming skills.Similar to reading a novel you love, This War Of Mine will pull you in, until you feel you are living the story. This is the most difficult game I have ever played due to subject matter. It is also the most rewarding for the very same reason. I highly recommend this game, though I'd advise skipping This War Of Mine if you are prone to depression.Side Note: The character miniatures are well sculpted and will be great to paint, just to personalize gameplay even more!
