PETZLGrigri 2 Belay Adult

I do alot of work on roofs fixing chimneys and pointing. After having people walk by the ladder and kicking it I looked into getting a rope,harness and assender/descender. This is an absolute great piece of kit allowing me to feel safer attached to the ladder and being able to lower myself if any problems. I have used it to lower tools and materials aswell with ease. Definitely be looking to get more in future.

I got this to replace my original, series 1, Grigri because ropes are skinnier now. This is the gold standard of sport climbing belay devices. It is pretty foolproof and excels when working a route.

my dad made a stupid mistake on a lead climb low down, and I couldn't really do anything other than hope, I really feel that if I had any other device it would have ended up badly highly recommend.

Excellent piece of kit at a great price. Simple to use and very effective.

I researched all the belay devices in the market and yet, Grigri is the most versatile, effective and safe to use. While it would not match an ATC while paying rope, it does compensate with its great breaking assistance mechanism.

Solid belay device and the standard for a reason, used in every disciple out there, from ice cragging to big walling in Patagonia this device does it all, as long as you don't want to use halves, twins or rappel normally it's a near perfect device.

It is one of the best devices out there if being used as depicted in the manual, nothing more to say - just not suitable for beginners.

I climb regularly and used other belay devices in the past. I had multiple friends recommend the Grigri, but didn’t initially buy due to the cost. After purchasing, I wished I would not have waited. The Grigri is amazing, solidly made, easy to use, and best I feel safe. Top marks on this one! I highly recommend!

This product is very well manufactured and reliable

Wanted to feel safer, i think I will with two. Wanted to get a zig zag but this was a third the price. Put 6 mil rope through it because I'm impatient and wanted to try it, it works fine, but it eats into the rope a little. Got my 10mil in today climbed 3 trees to get used to it. Never felt unsafe. No rope bite on proper rope.

Ich habe das Grigri jetzt schon länger und nutze es in der Halle zum Toprope Klettern. Die Handhabung ist sehr einfach. Eine bebilderte Anleitung liegt bei und auf dem Grigri sind Bilder wie das Seil eingelegt wird. Als Anfänger im klettern sollte man evtl. einen Kurs für das Sichern belegen
