Shockingly pretty good…
I never order my cacao from Amazon but was in a bind and needed more before a gathering I was hosting and quick. My usual supplier who I get cacao from Guatemala from couldn’t ship out in time. I serve cacao weekly, have for 5 years now, and have tried many different kinds. I actually really enjoyed the taste of this cacao and was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t have high expectations it coming from Amazon if I’m completely honest. It exceeded expectations and I think I’ll actually order it again sometime.

Wonderful!
We used it for a Cacao Ceremony. Our regular supplier was not in town, and we had to take the risk. It was easy to melt, with no tedious blending and extra work.I have tasted so many “ceremonial cacaos” from all over - this one was richer, and we could feel our heart opening with each sip.Of course, that invites the Cacao spirit to do its magic and lead you into the journey. We do believe that the energy of the leader and how the leader holds containers is a essence to a cacao ceremonial experience. We loved it and will keep buying! And I love the fact it comes from my home country ECUADOR 🇪🇨 🥰Love shamans and priestess 💃

Old and crumbly
I was excited to eat this but as I cut into it it was old and crumbly all the way to the core. I’m bummed.

Seems I got some very old product
Although I have bought Cacao Lab products in the past and was very pleased, this was my first time ordering through Amazon and I am not impressed. As a ceremony facilitator, I look for quality product and this time I did not get it. The block came smashed to pieces and the cacao itself was old. It was discolored, and just fell apart. I didn’t realize just how different the quality was from cacao directly from the Cacao Lab website until I was with a friend and chopping theirs up. I could barely break theirs apart, whereas mine would crumble. I also noticed a difference in the effects of the product. I’ve added a photo of the cacao from the company itself vs from Amazon.

This is beautiful, delicious cacao
It comes in a block and I enjoy the process of cutting it and putting it in a special container I have for my ceremonial cacao. I am super bummed that the company raised the price by $15 since I ordered it last, so I probably won’t be purchasing again.
