Came up despite not planting soon enough
I forgot about these and they got all moldy. They had arrived in PERFECT healthy condition. Even though I messed up, they all came up beautifully. Wonderful plants. I highly recommend this seller.

Bought for rabbits
I bought these and planted for rabbit food. I started them in tree planters and put a handful or so in each during late winter. By mid spring they were already full of growth and about a foot tall. Transplanted well and got about 5 to 6 ft tall and flourished. I dig some up and left some in the ground for next year. Great buy.

Growing!
Arrived in a bag with a gas absorber packet so they stayed fresh! These were very fresh and left out on my counter for a few days before planting! It only been a few weeks and they are doing great! Excited to harvest and see what we have next year!Chose to do a row instead of bunching together for easier harvesting. If you're wondering what they taste like it's like chewing a potato while sniffing a sunflower. Slightly nutty flavor very smooth no chalkyness excited to replace potatoes with these!

Nice size tubers
Nice product. Average size was very large. I think every one planted sprouted.

All crisp, all fresh, purchased for planting. Arrived in great condition.
The packaging for these sunchokes includes one of those little ethylene gas absorber packets to keep the roots fresh if they start off-gassing. The internal plastic bag is also one of those semi-permeable membrane bags designed to let contents breathe or expel moisture/gas. The arrived in great shape.I've planted them all in our clay soils. They were alive when they were planted. It's on me if they don't survive now. Supposedly these things are pretty vigorous and accept poor soils. We'll see if they like clay. I'm using them as a pioneer crop after the previous owner of my land totally clearcut the entire property.

I’m very excited about these…
They taste wonderful. I ate a few and planted most of them and I’m hoping that after a year of maturing, I’ll be able to harvest for many years. My understanding is that it is a hardy and drought tolerant garden vegetable.
