Pretty pleased! Learned how to solder
Overall, I’m happy with the quality of this item. Sounds great and easy to adjust. I was able to toenail in all the screws for my Squier Strat, so no complaints there even though this was comically misaligned. Was a little disappointed that I needed to solder three wires, but now I know how to solder (sort of) and now own a soldering iron, so overall a net gain. Plugged it in and it worked and sounded great, so I’d recommend this for a budget build or refurb.

Just like a Stratocaster
Quality looks to be good, fits the body well, holes line up. Guitar not built yet, cannot comment on sound.

Musiclily Strat pre-wired Tortoise Shell Pickguard & Black Sealed Tuning Pegs
I got a cheap knockoff guitar for a trade on Offer Up. It was a badly made guitar but I wanted a project guitar and did not want to use a nicely made guitar and fiddle with it. So I used this cheap knockoff which someone had for $50 on offer up. I went ahead and purchased the Red tortoise shell Musiclily pick guard and Musically 6 inline Sealed Guitar Tuners Tuning Pegs Keys in black. So this review will contain some pitfalls and some pros. Starting with the pick guard, it lined up nicely but I still had to do some work from the pictures I had to use a Dremel tool to grind the area above the bridge, since the pick guard came too far down in that area. While it did line up only one hole matched, so I had to drill some new holes. I also shielded the entire cavity with copper foil which you do not have to do but I watched a luthier from Fender showed why he shields the entire cavity so does the team from Stew Mac do the same thing, so I used some copper foil also from Amazon and did that first. Also the wiring is pretty decent, they give you a picture on the Amazon page but it would have been nice to have a spec sheet or paperwork or PDF on the wiring and electronics. The tuning pegs were easy to install and they are just ok and better than the original ones on the guitar (I took pictures of that as well). I say the best way to do the wiring is with soldering equipment, I would not recommend using electrical tape. It was easy to install but it is best to do some prep work first. For instance since none of the holes matched, I covered the pickups securely and put the pick guard in and drilled the holes using the pick guard as the guide rather than marking them. The wiring was easy but in a badly made guitar it is hard. I cut the ground wire to the bridge in half leaving some of the original wire and I soldered the new ground wire to the old existing ground wire so I did not have to spend 30 minutes trying to run a wire through a tiny hole. I will go back and redo that job later. I soldered the white and black wire to the output jack after removing the old wires. The sound is decent not great on standard the guitar sounds great. In overdrive (distortion mode) I am getting a lot of feedback. I will go back and rewire once more and if that does not work, I will change the output jack and see if that makes a difference. It is a project guitar and it does sound much better with the new parts. I also changed strings to D'Addario EXL110 also from Amazon. So while I still have much to go on this as a project it does sound better and the new tuning pegs does allow this guitar to stay in tune much longer. Will keep you posted.

Looks great, sounds great, awesome value, fun project
I had to do a bit more than just solder 2 wires to fit this prewired pickguard onto my early 2000s Squier Strat, since no two Strat clones are exactly the same, I would definitely NOT blame Musiclily's prewired pickguard for that. Despite some of the reviews, the pickups actually sound really good in my opinion, maybe not better than extremely high end Seymour Duncans or Fender's pro series single coils, but this is a huge upgrade for most of the cheap Strats or Strat clones I have played. The SSS configuration is what I got, and is perfect for playing clean, blues, or classic rock, and it sounds awesome with a RAT style distortion effect. Most would recommend humbuckers for playing with really high gain distortion like metal or punk music rather than this configuration. Overall this was a really fun project, and got me really into modding my Strat, I will probably be buying Musiclily's bridge and tuners next.I don't think anyone should be dissuaded from purchasing this just because you might need to do a bit of planning or some extra soldering to get everything to fit your particular Strat style guitar; but I wanted to include this just as an example for some modifications you MIGHT need to do. For reference, this was my first time soldering, and thought it was a really fun project. I was able to accomplish everything in one evening. Here are modifications I had to make to fit the prewired pickguard in my 2005(ish) Squier Strat:- Insulated the electronics cavity with copper tape (EM Conductive paint would have been better) since apparently there was absolutely no EM insulation on the body before.- Had to rewire output jack since it wasn't possible to separate the hot/ground wires that were jacketed together. (used a wire from my Squier stock ceramic pickup as a patch, but probably could have prevented the extra step if I had noticed sooner)- The selector switch wouldn't fit in the body, I had to remove the selector switch from the pickguard and flip it around, then re-solder the wires the opposite way to get it to fit with enough space away from the body.

Just- WOW!
Now people mistakenly take for granted that I am playing a "toy" entry level guitar until I actually plug in. By no means should you expect the performance you would find in an expensive single coil pick-up, but for the costs, they pack a punch. Clear high and lows unlike the "muddy" stock pick-ups which were replaced. Relatively simple to install. Like others, a few of the screw holes were not exactly aligned but an easy fix. Now awaiting on the final mod- black locking tuners which will definitely help stay in tune.

Single Coil Loaded Pickguard for SSS Strat
Seemed like a good product to try for testing out a guitar, but the wires were soldered in such a way that they could not be placed into the routed channels on the guitar body. The wires were too short and therefore would not sit in their proper place. This caused the wires to be sandwiched between the pickguard and the body of the guitar, which, obviously, would not be a proper installation. The product was returned and a review written for the benefit of other buyers and for the benefit of company quality control.

Pleasant!
Pretty good for this price.Dad had an old, black strat - very cheap brand but playable, just old and ugly so I fixed it up. This was the last piece to be added and I wasn't expecting much, really. I've bought various parts for this guitar, some good quality and value some not so, this is by far the best value I've had buying parts for it.Firstly it just looks really nice, pots aren't anything to scream about but they feel nice enough and have some resistance, smooth. Pickups themselves again, nothing to scream from the rooftops about but they still sound pretty damn good.As for fitting the plate, out of all of the screw holes there were only 2 that did not line up and had to be re-drilled, this is likely due to the fact that the guitar I was fitting it to was not well routed, but it fit amazingly well. I did need to sand a small part down to allow the neck to seat properly in the pocket, shaved off about 1mm and it was super snug.Wiring was easy enough although no schematics are supplied, you can find wiring diagrams online no problem. You don't get a matching backplate but most people chuck them out, anyway. One question asked was does it come with screws, and one of the answers was no - mine came with the screws, tiny little plastic bag with more screws than I needed (6 more to be exact). All in all this is really nice, it looks great - I reckon this on a white or cream coloured strat with gold hardware would make for a really stylish, vintage looking and great sounding guitar.Funf starren!!!

Rubbish pickups
Having recently acquired a LP style guitar I decided to put my Strat to SSS standard by replacing the SSD squire scratchplate. Read the reviews saying this outperformed the squire pickups so gave it a shot ... What a load of nonsense them reviews were! The plate and hardware are clearly budget but usable. The pickups are total garbage ... Way inferior to the Squire set they replaced and to the Aria Pro 2 set that came before that. Tried various heights and slopes but nothing made them sound good. I guess the neck and middle were usable with a lot of help from my amp EQ but the bridge pickup was bad whatever I tried. On my Microcube (only 1 tone control) it was impossible to get a decent sound. Iron Gear pickups arriving tomorrow and I can't wait to get them in so I can use my guitar again. I bought a new Musicily trem the same time and they works fine but the rubbish pickups make this unusable.

Item had cellophane on it and when pulled off it was scratched badley. However after emailing supplier they managed to solve the problem. Customer service was brilliant and resolved very quickly.

Easy to fit
Sounds great through my Orange Fresh 20 with new Fender Bullets 10s fitted. You do need a soldering iron though. Got a Marshall 100w Combo amp now - super sound!

Fantastic Upgrade!
Amazing value for money.Screws lined up with existing holes. Has absolutely transformed the sound of my sons Squier Bullet strat.Well packaged and simple to install. Highly recommended and worthwhile upgrade. Excellent price even when you factor in £20 for a little basic soldering iron kit. So far I've added Graph tech nut and string trees which have helped a lot with the tone and sustain. These pick ups have transformed the sound and were an excellent buy. Very happy. Thank you.
