Bilstein Shock Absorber B8 Rear Ram 1500 4WD

I live in the desert with a dirt road going to my house. I was looking for a shock to help on the wash board road and to level out my 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 4WD truck so I bought a set of these shocks for the front and rear. I set the front at 2" higher and left the rear at the original ride height. WOW! what an improvement in ride. The truck is much better on the street, the ride height in the front is great and if it starts to droop a little I still have some room to raise it a little more. On the dirt road I notice a much better ride, especially going over the bumps in the road from the wash outs caused by the rain. The shocks really do a great job of soaking up the bumps in the road, the rebound and compression on these shocks are great for this truck.

Had bilstein 5100s on a previous truck so wanted to put them on my 2014 ram also. They have not disappointed. Best bang for your buck in my opinion. Night and day difference compared to stock shocks. Paired them with heavy duty coil springs and now my truck can actually handle a load.

Perfect for leveling your Ram 1500. Much better than spacer kits. Rides better too. I set mine at 2.7” and add a 1.5” spacer in the back. Perfect stance for my Ram.

Installed on a 2010 Ram 1500. I wanted a stiffer shock since I haul my toys(atvs, mower, occasionally a car) quite often and so I bought this shock and it improved my ride significantly, smoother and more responsive shock. This shock does NOT have the strength of a coil over shock but it is pretty close, at least I think so. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a stiffer shock than rancho or stock

So far so good. The equipment looks a feels better engineered and durable than the factory parts. The installer had a little difficulty on the install due to the extended design. DOES NOT PROVIDE ANY LIFT.

I had a pair of these installed along with the fronts that are set at the 2.1 (second highest) setting for my 2010 Laramie 4x4. This should have been the first thing I did when I bought the truck. The ride now feels more like a truck and less like an old luxury car. If you are considering spacers for the front, get the 5100s instead, and if you are doing the fronts, put these on the back to get the full Bilstein setup. For some reason it was $40 cheaper to buy the fronts and rears separately instead of the package with all four.

I installed these along with the front adjustable 5100s on my 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4. Easy install. The front of the truck now sits very nearly level with the front shock adjustment set to 2.1 inches lift. The overall ride and handling of my truck is now excellent with the 5100 Bilstein shocks installed on all four corners (slightly stiffer ride than stock, but very controlled); handling is great. My truck also has Air Lift airbags in the rear. I can't wait to see how my Ram now tows my 30' travel trailer! Have to wait for the snow to melt now, though... One note: the shocks pictured on Amazon are an older version than the 5100s, but what comes are in fact 5100s, with a brushed zinc finish and black dust boots. They exactly match the adjustable 5100 front shocks. As always, Amazon's customer service and delivery were perfect.

2014 Ram Ecodiesel 4x4 - Installation was as simple as removing a top and bottom bolt, putting the shock in, and putting the bolts back in.I had air shocks that stopped holding air, and I noticed a rattling sound when I went over bumpy roads. Turned out it was my air shocks bottoming out causing the rattling, as well as providing horrible ride quality. These shocks didn't add much lift to the rear of the truck (about 1/2"), but it definitely is a quiet smooth ride now.Very good product.
