UPDATE: Within 1 business day of my contacting Oggi about the missing part, I received an email telling me it was on its way. I received the drainer insert a couple days later. It fits perfectly in the ice bucket, and leaves quite a bit of room to drain the melted ice. There's a small ledge inside, about an inch from the bottom of the bucket, where the drainer will sit. Also, something I didn't notice before: the knob on the lid is more attractive (less bulky) than the one pictured.I used it for a dinner party (before the drainer arrived), and it kept the ice cooled for 5 hours, with minimal melting. I'm looking forward to using the drainer, as I think it will make the experience even more perfect. No other ice bucket that I have researched includes a drainer.Great customer service!PREVIOUS REVIEW: The amazon.com description states that this ice bucket comes with tongs and a drainer. Some of the reviewers received the drainer and raved about it. That was the reason I chose this bucket over competitive products. However, like some OTHER reviewers, when the product arrived, the drainer insert was not included. Furthermore, the bottom of the ice bucket has the logo for Target Home--Not Oggi (though the box is an Oggi box). This product, without drainer, is offered on target.com at a lower price than what I paid through Amazon. Perhaps something got mixed up at the Chinese manufacturing plant. I have reached out to Oggi (per the directions on amazon.com/help) and asked for them to send me a drainer. I will raise or lower my rating depending on what the response is. Stay tuned...

This ice bucket is awesome. I do have to say that after reading the previous reviews, I was expecting there to be some sort of strainer that came with it for the bottom of the ice bucket. Mine did not come with a strainer, so I contacted the manufacturer. They said that the older models DID come with a strainer, but the new ones do not. That's fine with me. I don't see the need for a strainer anyways, but I wanted to make sure that it wasn't SUPPOSED to come with one. Mine came with the bucket, the lid, and the tongs. Everything I needed. It's a great item. Built well, it does its job, it's pretty, and should last a lifetime.

It's a nice looking ice bucket that would be nice when warm weather gets here but it's missing the tongs. I reported it on the seller's website more than a few days ago but so far, crickets. Luckily there's still time to return it.UPDATE: Oggi mailed the tongs to me. I decided not to return the ice bucket without first calling Oggi. I spoke to Tammy in Customer Service. She asked that I send her a few pictures of the ice bucket so she could find the appropriate tongs. A few days later, I received the tongs along with a kind note from Tammy. Now THAT is some highly satisfactory customer service! And it really is a nice ice bucket.

This is made of stainless steel, a slightly lighter gauge than the one I paid $150.00 for, (but that one came with a stand at least.) For your money, THIS is a good deal. I'm happy enough with it. Also a little smaller than the $150.00 one, BUT it's even got a lid. The handles are not super sturdy, but they're nice enough, not really cheap looking. No, 2 or 3 steps above cheap.I don't know if it dings easily or not. I'm the kind who is careful when handling things that look nice whether they're built to withstand being run over by a heavy vehicle or not. If you treat it with respect, I would confirm that this will probably last many, many years without a scratch. If you abuse it and just throw it around like it's junk that's what you'll have for your money. Not saying you would, but for the sake of comparison, that's the deal.

Double-walled construction keeps ice from melting. Nice small footprint, quality construction. I thought I read that it had a drain in the bottom; mine didn't. Tongs were included, a nice surprise. This bucket was very useful during the holidays when my fridge was too full for the Britta pitcher and I needed cold water often for guests. This bucket is beautiful and the price was great.I think I might have preferred a less fancy-looking one, one with a handle to take outside for a picnic, but I guess I can use a small cooler for that.Later: Oggi sent me the drain insert, no charge. I purchased this ice bucket from Amazon after reading reviews of various products. This is pretty much as described. The Stainless is attractive, The drain tray is useful and the tongs match the set nicely. The only thin I could add is that the tongs were a little smaller and "cheaper looking" than I expected. They look good though and they are functional. They are "Ice tongs" after all. Nice product.

Perfect for my needs. Very attractive stainless steel, double lined ice bucket. Nice size, not too big or small.
