Not just Callaway branded. These are real clubs.
my son loves them. Light enough for a slim 10-year-old. But long enough also. I find most junior clubs to be a little too short. Not the case with these. No metal shafts. Spend the extra money get these.

Great Quality
Exactly what you would expect from Calloway brand name product, level 2 for a 5-8 year old. My son is tall for 5 years old so it might not work for every 5 year old, and may not work for a tall 8 year old. Do not buy a cheaper no name brand, unless the golfer is really not interested and possibly will be used less than a couple times. If you are looking for a quality set to use a couple times a month at the range or on the course, do not skip on these. Great ball flight on the driver and wood, the irons seem to have an adult size surface on them but don’t feel heavy which is very forgiving. Quality bag, will not be disappointed for $300. Don’t forget to look at the “other” buying options. I bought “like new” which was a brand new bag with all the seals still on the clubs but had a scratch on the box it came in for $45 cheaper than brand new, which who cares about the box it comes in.

Good quality set, would buy again
I was looking for the first set of clubs for my five year old who has never played before. I admit I wondered if I could get by with a less expensive set and googled/read other reviews. I ultimately bought the set since reviews suggested it was higher quality and I would rather buy a higher quality set that he AND later his younger brother could use. I had a starter set as a kid and it was fine although one of the iron heads broke a year in. I think it is still expensive relative to potential alternatives but the build quality is what I would expect from callaway - just sized for a kid. I am also particularly happy with the putter and could even see myself using it in a pinch - it is made by odyssey. The bag is better than expected but not a standard size bag. It is sized for the clubs. My one complaint is that the straps aren't that comfortable and are sized for an older child (maybe a normal 8 year old? my five year old is 85th percentile height/weight). Overall, would buy again. Amazon price was same as golf galaxy/dicks with faster shipping.

Great clubs but probably for taller kids
The media could not be loaded. I bought these clubs since the irons was the exact missing numbers on my son's US Kids golf set.The clubs looked great and the build quality is exceptional but it was noticeably hefty compared to the US kids counterpart. Which isn't nessarily a bad thing. Being heavier might make it harder to lug around the clubs in the fairway, but it could also mean a greater swing momentum which can translate to greater distance. However the problem I encountered was that even if the Callaway xj level 2 is meant for a height range of 47-53 and my 5 year old son uses a us kids 48" height clubs. The Callaway still seems too long for him to swing properly. The only club he can use from the set at the moment is the putter, but I guess he would eventually grow taller and be able to use the other clubs.

Good set of clubs, quality issues, great customer service from Callaway
This is a good set of clubs for a teen starting golf. The length of the irons are close to my my standard Titleist s Men’s irons, the putter is a 33” which is what I use (I am 5’9”), and the hybrid/wood/driver are too short for me. The carry bag is basically standard adult size but is very light. The clubs are good but there is no special tech used. The irons are cavity back game improvement irons, the hy/fw/drv are pretty standard. All the shafts are whippy as a Junior flex should be, but if your teen can crank it, get adult clubs and have them fitted by a pro. The mid-mallet putter appears to have an Odyssey White Hot insert, though it’s not branded as one. It has a nice feel and comes with a headcover that is not mentioned anywhere (see pic). The bag is cheap in both material and quality. My teen said the shoulder straps were uncomfortable compared to her old Ping bag.Other reviewers noted quality issues but I didn’t understand the extent until we got our set. The putter head was not aligned correctly and in a closed position so tendency is to pull the putts. The bag strap was also coming apart at the seams (see pic) and the foam cushioning is coming out. From this you can see the materials are sub par, and I will probably have to get another bag soon. The good news is I called Callaway and they are going to remedy the issues under warranty. This is one of the reasons to spend a little extra for a premium brand- great customer service. I’ve had good experiences with them on my own equipment in the past.If anything new happens I will update this review. Overall, I think it is still a good set for a younger teen who is just starting out, but not for an experienced player. Another set I would recommend is USKids TS3, but teens don’t want to use clubs that say “kids” on them.
