Very Sturdy
For starters, this thing is HEAVY. I believe in all it weighs about 60-70 pounds. It came in two packages, both of which are HEAVY. The installation instructions are not the greatest, but this wasn't an issue for me as it was pretty intuitive to assemble. The hardware included is JUNK (grade 4.4 if I remember correctly). Don't even bother trying to assemble the carrier before heading to the hardware store and buying some grade 8 bolts and some thread locking compound. While you're at the hardware store, pick up a few dozen washers. You'll need washers for the bolts, but also to stash in between the hitch tube brackets and the carrier frame. When the carrier is placed on the hitch tube brackets, there is about a 1/8"-1/4" gap in between the two, ON EACH SIDE. If you try to bolt it together like this, the brackets will simply bend and bend and bend and you'll never be able to get it tight. Adding a washer or two in between the bracket and the carrier frame will take up this gap and allow you to get the thing really tight. Once this goes together, its all downhill from there. I ended up drilling another 5/8" hole in the hitch tube that was about 2" rearward from the original hole (credit for this idea goes to another reviewer). This allowed the whole carrier to be shifted forward within my trucks hitch, which helped prevent it from sagging as much. Use more straps than you think you'll need. In addition to strapping the bike at all four corners, add a strap from the bike to a sturdy spot on your vehicle and tighten it just a little bit. This will prevent the carrier from rocking back and forth and adds a little peace of mind while on the road. The anti-rattle clamp that comes with the kit of absolute garbage. Spend an extra $15-20 and get a decent one. You wont regret it. Also, get a role of skateboard grip tape and line the ramp with it (you'll thank me later). Overall, this is a good carrier for the price, and with a little knowhow and ingenuity, it can become a great carrier in your hands. I hauled a 560 lbs Harley Sportster on a 1000 mile round trip WITHOUT ISSUE. I assume no responsibility for anything that could go wrong if you were to attempt anything mentioned in this review.

10 out of 10 recommend!
The carrier I received looked and felt high quality. The welds were clean and the paint finish was even and smooth. Like other reviews mention I but some traction tape on the surfaces because it is very smooth. The tow hitch om my Hyundai Santa Cruz is only 10 inches off the ground and the ramp provided is almost as long as the carrier itself so it was a very gradual incline. If your tow hitch is as low as mine the traction tape wasn't necessary but highly recommended if your vehicle is lifted. You can assemble this alone it took me about 40min. The instructions aren't great and doesn't specify which length bolts go where but if you lay them all out its pretty intuitive. If you can assemble IKEA furniture this will be easy for you.I was nervous about the ground clearance once I loaded the bike that it might scrape on the ground but after loading it up the bottom of the carrier was still about 8 inches off the ground. (KTM Duke 200 is about 300 lbs) I picked the bike up from the dealer over 100 miles away and brought it back over speed bumps, freeway, and horrible AZ roads. It never touched the ground once. The tire cradle is nice and gives you plenty of support to balance the bike with one hand and get your tie downs in place with the other. If you high a lighter bike this is definitely the way to go! I don't have any room in my garage to store a trailer but this thing stores nicely against the wall when it's not needed. If you're considering this product then hit "buy now" the quality for the price will make transporting your bike so easy! Best Amazon purchase I've made in a long time!

It works, but it’s a pain to assemble and mount.
I was rushed to get a carrier and these guys delivered it in under a week, so kudos on the quick service. The carrier comes in 2 boxes, a small and a large one. There aren’t a lot of parts, but the carrier is fairly heavy and a pain to move around. I managed to assemble it myself in about 3 hours, but that’s including fixes I had to make. The bolts that hold the main tray that bike is attached via 6 bolts to the main support beam the goes into your hitch. The only problem we’re those 6 bolts were too short to actually work. I had to replace the 3/4” M10 bolts with 1.5” M10 bolts and it worked and was a lot more solid. They ran me about $8 at the local ACE Hardware. Second, the stabilizer - I guess it’s a stabilizer - is junk. I got a $10 one off Amazon and it worked great. Lastly, I got some 6” grip tape for the ramp and the tray. It’s made of steel and it’s slick. The first time my bike slid back down the ramp when I stopped it on the way up to make sure it was on. Once the carrier was assembled, getting it in your hitch is a challenge, as it weights almost 100lbs. I was able to do it myself, but it was a pain. The ramp is pretty long, which I thought I’d appreciate until I had to park my car in the middle of the street so I could line up my bike to the ramp. Getting the bike lined up is a pain, but once it’s on, it’s pretty solid. I had mr 440lbs wet Ducati Monster on the back, going 70mph down California highways and it held up. I did watch the bumps and tried to drive cautiously, but the carrier held up without any problems. So ya, it works great! It’s just putting it together, mounting it, and getting your bike on it is a pain.

excellent value!
If you need to transport a bike that's 400# or less. This is an excellent option. The unit I received was properly manufactured. And easy to assemble. You will need a second set of hands to hold the bike upright while strapping it down. But overall it's an excellent value when compared with the much more expensive versions of hitch mount carriers.I had zero issues transporting a Triumph Thruxton over 200 miles of PA highways & country roads.
