Guys this is totally mind-blowing stuff I ever did. First of all, the quality of the product is damn good. The cylinder and hydraulic pressure everything works perfectly. (I weigh around 80kgs). I couldn't post images as I already have fit the cylinder by the time I thought to write this review. Anyways the images and the dimensions shown in the images by the seller are genuine. The best part is that though there are many out there this was around 500 rupees and it had 6 reviews (too much for such niche products) and all the reviews rated this product good. This is main reason I bought this product and I don't regret it.Fitting Process:Normal effort need. I mean to fit any of the new hydraulic cylinders is always hassle if you don't have the right tools. You can search in youtube for videos (search for "sinking chair issue" or "chair cylinder change" etc) and follow them. I didn't have any tools other than a hammer. I tried in various techniques as shown in the images of the product, but I was not sure of the technique itself. Finally, I just inverted the chair and my dad held up the chair for me and I slowly started hitting with the hammer as shown in the images. But do not, I repeat do not hit harder at the joinings. If you hit harder then you may deform the holder itself and then you may never be able to fit any hydraulic cylinder unless the dent is removed. So be careful and patient. I took 5-10 mins of time hitting with the hammer. After that the holder is separate. You need to remove the cylinder entirely which means that you need to repeat the process for the bottom most part of the cylinder. Better check youtube videos before buying this product, so that you can prepare yourself to DIY this process. Anyways, once everything is removed, placing the new cylinder just took me 60 seconds. Now it is so good and works perfectly. I am writing this review as soon I assembled it because my main issue is solved which is sinking chair issue. But I will update the review if there is an issue. Till then you can depend on this review to buy this product and again, you will not regret it. Hope this review is helpful.Update-(2021-11-8th) i changed the cylinder again 2/3 months back. I think i roughly got the age of 1.5 year. Which is awesome for 500 rupees. So I ordered the same one again.

VERY GOOD PRODUCT

At first look it seemed simple enough. Now after 2 months of use, 9 to 10 hours a day 6 days a week, the chair depresses when sit on it, and goes up on its own when I get up from the chair. My lever/lock mechanism is unable to control the height adjustment anymore and the piston has a mind of its own. When I sit on the chair, it moves me so far to the ground that i am unable to use my keyboard to type anymore. It did not even last 60 days. overall, waste of money and hard work to install this thing in the first place.

It was a perfect fit. After removing the old piston from the chair which did take some effort - hammering at the base and unscrewing the top attachment - this worked as described.The attachment had to be only pushed into the base and top sockets and weight of the chair ensured that it will lock.It has been 2 months nearly and the piston is working as it should be. Instead of buying an expensive replacement chair, this was complete value for money

Although it fits properly in my chair and works just fine, it looks like a used one with scratches and paint torn. I didn't want to return it and started using it hoping it would last for at least 6 months.

My 'Glen' swivel chair is serving me well for almost five years, but the gas lift system failed some time back and the seat kept getting pushed to the lowest position it could offer. Even if raised back to the highest position, it went back to the lowest position in a short period. I was on the verge of considering checking offline options for a replacement and was pleasantly surprised to find one on Amazon.A quick dispatch of the replacement by the Seller was encouraging. Fitting the unit is not cumbersome if you are a DIY person and have access to a basic hammer. It took me just 20 minutes to replace the defective one. I followed an online video for guidance.It would be advisable not to use a steel hammer directly on any parts of the chair. The seat has to be dismantled from the bracket at the underside. Removal of the defective gas lift unit will take some effort when it come to hammering. Once fitted, the swivel chair is back to its original function. I tested the new gas lift unit to position the seat at different heights and it held it efficiently. It seems that all swivel chairs use a 'standard' size when it comes to the gas lift part.A recommended buy as a replacement and priced economically too. Cheaper ones are available too but I chose this one based on reviews.

I have been using it for quite some time. It has not troubled me. Recommended.
