Perfect casual kilt
Arrived well packaged. Sizing was perfect. Lightweight compared to my 8-yard wool kilt, but perfect for daily use in South African hot climate. Very well made, and straps and buckles great quality.

A Solid Kilt
This is a good kilt. It is true to size. Color and stitching is great. The belt straps fit snugly and seem like they will hold up. If you need a kilt for a costume, or for an event, for ren fair, this one will suit your needs! Frankly this would pass at a themed wedding or other such event - nobody would guess it came from Amazon. I bought mine for a Renaissance & Scottish Festival and received several compliments from seasoned kilt-wearers on mine. The fabric is slightly thin compared to a high-end kilt (add $30-$40 for that tier of kilt) but it doesn't feel "cheap" at all. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was, I was expecting "costume quality" at this price-range but was surprised by how nice this was. other reviews complained that the belt-straps were pleather, but they are not. They are actually leather, just a thin and very dry leather. You could apply oil to them and make them a little more pliant and less prone to cracking. Those reviewers think it's "pleather" because it's dry but it is definitely leather. No wash instructions included, I suggest either cold water only or handwashing only and air drying - the fabric is a 20% wool/80% poly blend and in my estimation will shrink in a normal wash cycle. If you want a "high-end" kilt that will last as an heirloom or for a lifetime, this probably isn't the one for you; go find a scottish-made one of wool. For most people though, this will work quite well. It seems to be a great starter kilt that could easily pass for mid-range in terms of quality.I'm quite happy with it. I'm 5'10" 175lbs and the 34 waist fits me perfectly with room for adjustment in either direction should I get skinny or fat in the future.

Returned but loved it.
Great kilt. I did return it but only because it was too small. Aside from that it was well made and I will buy it in the right size.

Good enough for a few uses; value-for-money is just okay. Sizing notes included
This acrylic wool kilt is quite lightweight, has a clean and somewhat modern look, with crisp pleats, and should hold up well for a few light uses. I'd consider spending a bit more and getting a better made kilt; it would cost more than twice, but should last much more than twice as long. Now, this one hasn't fallen apart yet, but I've only (hand) washed it once and can see some wear in the acrylic fabric. New, out of the bag, there were a couple of weave defects - fixed those with a bit of needle work. The stitching overall is good, but the fabric doesn't look like it will hold up well to friction from daily wear. They did add a synthetic lining inside to protect the parts with the most contact, but as you can imagine that reduces breathing around those areas. The straps are really cheap faux leather, in fact they feel more like vinyl than anything. But they do the job and don't show signs of cracking on mine yet. The buckles are stitched securely. In terms of pricing - the kilt is made in Pakistan, and has minimal branding treatment. It doesn't even have a label indicating materials or wash instructions, which I find problematic. I found the same kilt with different branding on another online store, priced much lower, but that one was clearly an even lower QA band - you get what you pay for.Sizing - ignore what everyone is saying and measure it as indicated in the sizing charts. Don't go by your usual pants size, or what others are saying you should add to your pants size. Just measure yourself at the navel and buy that size. The straps on the kilt measure that indicated size at the smallest setting, so you have another 2 inches to grow into if needed. There are buckles but don't buy large with the intention to use belts - the buckles are designed for accessory belts only (they are quite widely spaced).
