There are four rings packaged in bags for storage. At first I didn't think I needed the bags, but they really help in keeping the rings from getting tangled with each other when not in use. I am a play therapist and I bought these to be a sensory toy in my playroom. I have not had them very long, but kids seem to be fascinated with them and love the way they feel as the roll up and down their arms. The rings are different colors--silver, purple, multi-colored--and that makes different effects when they are in motion. They appear to be very sturdy and not likely to bend or get tangled when handled properly.

This is a great gift for anybody! Everybody who has seen mine has wanted to order one of their own. Adults like it both to play with and for the relaxing massage effect on arms and shoulders. Teenagers like it to play with it as well as to try to figure out why it does what it does. Most amazing of all, a friend who works with dementia patients and children with special needs finds it an excellent therapeutic tool and interactive activity motivator! I’m really glad I found this for the holidays.

So I have three kids but figured I would use the fourth one myself. I was at first a bit worried about the durability of the rings because my youngest is just four and too strong for his own good. I won't say he's been hurling it around or anything like that. He's been gentler with it than I actually expected, but even when he's rougher with it than the rest of us are, it's holding up well. Mind you, it's only been the first 24 hours, but I honestly didn't think it would last this long.I can't yet say if it's worth the price tag, but I can always revisit this review at a later date. What I can say is these are fun, even for me. There doesn't seem to be a lot to do with them, and for me personally repetition gets old, but I find that I like letting it run up and down my arms while I do other things, even when I'm typing. My kids thought they would be "dumb" but seem to be attached to them, so I'm happy so far.

Loved the toy. My granddaughter loves them. We ordered two sets. We had bought one on a trip to the coast. It was multicolored. These all had a different color. She loves them and so does her mom, who is a school psychologist. She plans to use them in her work.
