A great outlook for people with over whelming obstacles in life.
I have been living with a traumatic brain injury since 1996. I made an incredible recover. I finished college, my wife and i had two beautiful children. Things seemed to be going well. Two years ago, I started noticing a change. My speech was slurred and my memory was slipping. The MRI showed reactive gliosis. This happens in about ten percent of TBI patients. I will start to go backwards in my recovery.I loved this book because Zig and Julie made it so simple. If there is struggle, there is life. I am having my share of struggles but I will be looking at them a little different. Only God knows my future and the plans he has for me. I will appreciate everyday that He gives me to be with my family, play with my kids and work until it is to much to handle. Just like Zig, my wife is the rock of our marriage. She has been a gift from God since the day we met in college. I am glad to see others accepting the facts of life and solving their problems.

An inspiring, revealing, honest and transparent message...
Zig Ziglar and Julie Norman Ziglar strip away the fluff and color of dealing with adversity to deliver an inspiring, revealing, honest and transparent message of hope and faith to all who open their hearts as they read each chapter of Embrace the Struggle. Zig continues his legacy of living with integrity by sharing intimate details of the challenges, fears, triumphs and love that he, the Redhead, their family and associates have indeed embraced as a result of his head injury. The experiences of others which are included in this latest Ziglar book connect with the reader on a practical, emotional, financial or spritiual level...perhaps all of the above.I first saw Zig Ziglar in 1985. At that time Zig was an energetic, articulate, positive and entertaining speaker with a tremendous capacity to reach his audience with a meaningful message. And though his delivery is now slower and made with the assistance of his daughter Julie, Zig's message of encouragement, hope and faith is as relevant today as it ever has been. Without a doubt Embrace the Struggle is his most important book to date. Regardless of whether you are a veteran reader of Zig Ziglar or a first-timer I encourage all to read this book, share it with others and embrace the struggles life sends your way.Doug Roberts, President, New West Marketing

A Good Book From a Good Man
This book is quite an uplifting tale of how faith in Christ keeps us all going during the darkest times. I learned of this book from, of all places, James Spaders' show "The Black List." It was a good and worthwhile read.

Embrace the Struggle - A Help for those who struggle
Book Review: Embracing the Struggle, Living Live on Life's Terms by Zig ZiglarFor over thirty years Zig Ziglar has been known as the top motivational speaker in the country. His massively energetic presence on the stage roused audiences to the peak of excitement while delivering a Christian based message of better ways to live your life. At a Get Motivated seminar last year I heard him discuss how his live changed after a terrible fall caused brain damage. In Embrace the Struggle, Zig and his daughter Julie discuss how he and others overcome devastating circumstances by embracing their situation and working through it with God's help and love. My own struggles have been significant but are dwarfed in comparison to what others have overcome. Zig lives by example the life he's encouraged others to strive for. If you or a loved one faces struggles, I highly recommend this book as not only a motivation book but as a guideline of how to deal with what seems like insurmountable circumstances. A help for those who struggle.

Inspiring and motivating
On May 30, 2009, my sister and brother-in-law were in a motorcycle accident. My brother-in-law sustained a broken hip and pelvis and tore a ligament in his right arm. My sister suffered severe head trauma. While my faith in God to fully heal my sister has not waivered, my attitude to meet the struggles has taken many hits. This book inspired me to take each day as it comes. My favorite line in the book is when Mr. Ziglar says each day is a good day, some are just better than others. Mr. Ziglar is blessed to have his family's support and the book has inspired me to be a blessing to my sister. The book doesn't promise roses, it just tells you how to grow them...in your heart, mind and spirit.

It's kind of like Bible study
I like Zig Ziglar and his messages have resonated for many years. Excellent sales and motivational advice. This book is different. Zig unfortunately took a bad fall that caused neurological damage. This book is about how he learned to cope and ultimately accept his limitations and " live life on life's terms." It also talks about how others in and outside of his family learned to copy with their struggles, mostly by believing in God. He quotes lots of scripture and the discussed the power of God quite liberally. If this kind of this is motivating and inspiring to you, then you should enjoy and benefit from this book.

Not just for those who are "struggling"
I read this book over the weekend, so the first thing you need to know is that it is not long, so it won't take a lot of your time. I was speechless after putting it down. In awe. Why? Because after reading this book you realize that you just took a journey through the right way to approach life.I believe that if you follow the principles in this book, you will be a blessing to others, and you will be a happier person. As Zig says "you can have everything you want in life if you just help enough other people get what it is that they want."If you are going through any type of struggle, then by all means GET THIS BOOK!But, it is not just for those who are struggling or even those who will face a struggle. Instead, this book shows us a way of thinking - a set of values - a way to engage in life that makes life full of purpose and fulfillment.I have to say this was one of the most impactful books I have read in a long time. Thanks Zig, Julie, Tom, Cindy, and Katherine for this book!(and I can't wait to hear what the Readhead has to say!)-[...]
